I'm looking for a supplement to help me gain muscle. I talked to the trainer at my healthclub (who just got out of college) about creatine and he told me to not take it, so i'm looking for something other than creatine.

I don't want anything that will make me loose weight or body fat, just something that will help me build muscle

Thanks

That once i stop working out my muscles that I built up will just basically dissapear, and that it's just water going into your muscles etc.. the basic stuff you hear from the people that dislike creatine

well if he is a "trainer at a health club" and "just got out of college" his credentials are extraordinary you should listen to him, not us boneheads.

please tell us why he said not to use creatine.

creatine right after working out and/or before
L glutamine right after waking in morning and after workout

It is not exactly true. But more food is better, most people don´t really need supplements.
Am I right knowleageable people?

Do you think I should just buy those at GNC Curse?

hells no. get stuff online its way cheaper.
unless you are filthy rich and dont care.
i believe one of the sponsers of this site has good prices on most everything.

Creatine is far more than the adjustment of water. Tell that trainer he needs to go back to school and he shouldn't litter people's minds with his idiotic bullshit.

Take creatine. Get a good whey powder. And eat like food is going out of style.

A good multi vitamin multi mineral is the first thing you should get.

whey protein

Not exactly on subject, but how long does it take for your body to clear creatine after you stop taking it. Thanks.

Protein is your best friend for building muscle. Whey or Egg.
I recommend Desiccated liver too, it is full of aminos and B vitamins and is very cheap. This 2 I classify as food, not supplements.
For whey, ON 100% whey protein is great and UniLiver for the desiccated liver. This you can get cheap in www.bulknutrition.com

Start with less supplements and concentrate on your training and diet, you will make gains very fast the first months and if you are lucky (genetics) maybe years.

Once you develop a good muscle structure supplements will help you to hit better goals. Many people waist hundreds on supps when what they really need is better training tecnics and/or better diet.

Creatine is a good supplement, you will recover faster and your muscles will look fuller. It is safe, your body already has creatine. L-Glutamine is an amino acid that can help you to recover and avoid getting sick because of your training. The best way to buy this are in powder form.

Here is a link for the creatine (very cheap):

what about EcDvysterone? Or Tribbulus?

ive heard a few other people expounding on the virtues of dessicated liver tablets. think ill check it out.

Dittos. Followed by copious amounts of pure water, a clean diet and augmented with good sleep. All this is assuming you have a workout routine that's worth a damn. ;)
