Hey, I'm an athlete, a hockey player specifically, and I want to know how to get big fast without using roids, creatine or nitric oxide and all that. I want to know what supplements to use, and if you have one, a good recipe for a shake or something of the sort. I'd like to get all different opinions too, so just let me know.

Post your exact workout and diet

Workout-
On-ice training for 2 hours with the team (skating for legs, burns 1000 calories an hour)
Off ice includes 100 pushups done in sets of 20, 300 crunches in sets of 100, 120 plyometric Jagr jumps (jump up to a bench then back down=one rep) done in sets of 40, 6 laps of stairs (every step, every other, skip 2, skip 3, skip 2, skip 2) and two 15 minute wall sits.

Diet-
160-200 grams of protein from natural sources and when i can, a protein shake after all of that
3000-5000 calories a day from natural sources

I'm in season now, so I can't really lift because that means being sore for games, and that SUCKS, and the only time i could lift anyway is the weekend, so i dont use weight during the season.

Any supplement recommendations, or changes in diet? i can't change the workout, that's what the team does. Much appreciated

So no weights and a calore deviation of 3000-5000.....wow I can't help you then.

Hit them weights. the soreness should go away. i mean mine doesnt but still. Hit the weights. you need em to get"BIG" well to get big quicker than with polies. list your typical meal plan. how many meals, what you eat. any supps you are taking. how much water you drink.

big is like a 10-pound gain, to make me a solid wall of muscle.

Meal plan-

3-5 meals, about 50-75 grams of protein to a sitting, usually about a gallon of water a day on average.

no supplements, and i'll eat a lot of lean meat, usually 2 pieces of fruit a day, and for calories i'll eat stuff like a PBJ sandwich

what it is wrong with using creatine?

What type of ice hockey? Pro, Semi-pro, beer league, Juniors? Just a curious hockey coach.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
My high school which pretty much dominates my state (wisconsin) 13 state titles in 28 years any ways...when i played we lifted 3 days a week in season Mon, Wed, Friday and played Tues thrusday and some sundays....if i remeber Monday was Squats,SLDL, and some lunges Wed..Bench.Military Press and Friday was Cleans, Bent Rows and pull ups

so let me get this: you will be doing push-ups and sit-ups and expect to be a solid wall of muscle? not to mention you dont want to use steroids, creatine, and all of that shit?

first of all, thats just a ridiculous workout plan and will never become what your aspiring to become with that workload. also, like rob, i dont understand why your so against creatine and nitrix oxide?

maximum pump would not only make you stronger and endure more off the ice, but could help on it aswell.

my high schools better than your high school.

If you want to continue to play hockey, you do not want to be a huge dude. You will need muscle but not ripping out of your jersey. Eat right and try to workout a few times a week, but don't get too huge. It will slow down your movement. especially the way the game is played today, you will need speed and finesse, not size.

I agree 100% don't lift weights or you will get huge and muscle bound by the end of the month.

Snooky-it's HS hockey that I play

WantItBad-our coach keeps us off the weights in season

DiMaggio-steroids are bad for you, creatine fills your muscles with water

soxmuscle-yeah, i expect to be a solid wall of muscle. i'm stronger than i seem, max bench 225, incline 195, squat 300. I just want to be a little bigger than i am so i can use my muscle more effectively

Snooky-I'm not gonna be a huge dude, I just want to be more effective as a physical player because i'm still growing and all that, but I'm one of the smallest centers in the league and i wanna gain 10 pounds so when i hit someone, they'll think twice about fucking with me again...i mean they do already, but more weight couldn't hurt. Also, my speed is pretty good as it is. I'm a second year player, and i've been clocked at 55 mph top speed, and it takes me about 10-12 steps out of a v-start to get there.

Snooky has no idea what he is talking about.....so ignore all his advise.

Alright guys, I've gotten a bunch of mixed opinions here, so I'll change the question.

Here's the new one:

In your experiences, what is the fastest-acting protein supplement (powder, bar, or liquid) for someone to gain muscle with?

Protein with steroids in it. I'm talking serious steroids like creatine or BCAA's
