I have a question about symetry. I hope somebody can help. I have talked to a lot of trainers and they all have something different to say. I am six foot tall, two hundred and twenty pounds. I have been lifting for about ten years on and off. I have recently gotten really motivated and put about one and a half inches on my arms in about six months. The problem I am having is that my arms don't seem to grow at the same rate. I am right handed but my left seems to grow much faster and much shaplier. Some trainers say use barbells so the muscles are working together and some say use dumbells as to concentrate on the weaker arm. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

When you use a barbell your stronger arm can take some of the stress off the weaker arm. Use dumbells imo.

no worries dude, that is much more common then you think. no one is perfectly symmetrical. my left arm is 1/4 inch bigger than my right and it is a lot stronger. people cant notice the difference by looking at your arms. just make sure that you dont do more work on one arm then the other. just get used to it.

Asymmetry is very common. Look closely at professional level bodybuilders. Asymmetry is still prevalent even at that level of competition.

Yeah, what CP said.

Just live with it and add overall mass. Very few people will ever notice it, and even fewer will care.
