Taxes--part of life or rip off

Some people think taxes are just a part of life and some people think taxes are a rip off. What do you all think? Chime in everyone.

which taxes are we talking about? Federal, state, local, income, sales, what?

Or do you think some taxes are ok and others are not needed?

yes they are needed, they pay for our infrastructure, military and many other necessities.

Our government is out of control! We are being over taxed so the government can rape us more. Endless wars corporate gain you name it. Infrastructure is one thing. We are going beyond that. America has turned into reverse Robin Hood, or maybe it?s been that way all the time.

Taxes are ok as long as there is transparency and accountability. It's crazy to pay a fuck load of taxes and still have shitty roads, schools, etc. What's even funnier is that on the documentary "Bigger, Faster, Strong ", the California US representative was asked where the money for steroid research go; his answer was "I don't know ." No transparency, no accountability whatsoever.

That's one thing I like about Washington. No state tax and no sales tax on food.
