So that first fight Ray had with Jorge was his second in a row that day right? OF course they needed a straight-up rematch so Ray could be fresh ...

Good fight. They both have some skills. Stamina is so key in fighting. When you have some knowledge of what to do. When your watching you see so many opportunities missed to capatlize. In real cage fighting you don't see to much of them. In the later rounds you do but usually not to many in the first.

Jorge yoked him up good. All Ray was doin was throwin haymakers. Jorge knows how to jab, throw combos, defend, is quicker and was simply too technical for Ray. Fuck leg kicking in a street fight. I'd be like WTF is this

I would kick someone in a street fight. It makes them drop their hands so their face is wide open. Although these guys don't drop their hands.

I would never leg kick someone in a street fight unless they kicked me persistently. It looks really corny. I'm pretty sure your average Joe can't throw a decent one anyway. But I do agree if someone landed a good leg kick on me I might drop my hands.

GF do you ever spar or box with anyone? Practice that leg kick if you can. Let someone kick YOU in the leg. Take it in the muscle just about 6" above the knee. Make sure the guy doing the kicking uses his shin bone to make contact with you at mid leg. If he kicks you hard enough the right way, you'll loose the use of that leg. If not the first time then certainly by the third time.

Or a side foot kick right in the stomach followed by a spinning back fist.

Might as well throw a good long bicycle kick ... :)

Seriously though, side foot kicks work well with elbow strikes from what I've heard. Of course I'm just a fan myself. Maybe someday I'll learn sumfin about this MMA stuff ... ;)

I used to spar when I was younger (17-18 (boxing)). Now I just work the heavy bag, speed bag, and still occasionally use boxing routines for conditioning.

I've only seen leg kicks thrown in one street fight. When I was in high school my friend was about to fight 4 dudes and one of them was a kickboxer. While my friend was leaning against a car this kickboxer kid started wailing my buddy with kicks to the calf, knee, thigh, etc. and my buddy pretty much just took them. Maybe because he was kinda drunk he didn't feel them, but he ended up knockin some other kid out cold who tried gettin in his face. I just wouldn't even bother with leg kicks unless I was a competitive fighter. Rarely will you face any real street fights where your opponent is trying to put you out with leg kicks. If they do, shit luck for me and I'd just have to do something real dirty. I'd rather just focus on my hands.
