Given the amount of testosterone flowing on in this virtual place, I'm guessing no one would be nuts enough to say they wouldn't want to learn kung fu via a computer connected to their brain. Since this is a place for talking about the wonders of the laboratory, I thought I'd tell you guys that I'm working on that.
Since research is an inevitable thing in college, I've decided that I'm going to take the neural research up a notch and see if I can completely immerse a rodent brain in a computer generated world. You know what this means. I'm not sure, but it would be interesting to see if we could use this to manipulate muscles in some way, safely of course. I'm not one of those ppl who think it's a good idea to take things that would land me in jail and the news.
I'm thinking more on the lines of when on the science channel Stan Lee had a contortionist travel the world in search of people with incredible anatomy, albeit much less than the comics and really having nothing to do with the hype the title would have us believe. But it was interesting when they found this one guy who certainly didn't look incredibly strong was in fact able to bend metal tools. They found out that he is accessing more muscle fibers at once than the average person is able to do. Also this seems, from what I've read, to be what makes apes able to do amazing feats of strength.
So perhaps one day, the matrix won't be harvesting energy from you, but it might just be used to bring my frankensteinish dreams a reality. muahahahaha
