I think you're over generalizing. "The Americans" didn't lie, maybe a few Americans lied. Remember one person gives the order and the subordinates are required to comply. Personally I don't think that justifies supporting basically insane people who commit suicide in hopes of getting virgins and other benefits in the after life or Presidents who use biological weapons on their own citizens and can never be voted out of office because the voting system is rigged. Or people who attack it's neighboring countries and destabilize the region.

Unfortunately different cultures just can't get along, muslims nations can't get along with christians or themselves for that matter, they are just constantly warring since the beginning of time. Just like the white and black issues we have here in america, blacks and whites as a culture have a hard time getting along. Blacks have a hard time getting along with themselves too, Just look at the bloody history of Africa or Liberia.

The GI Bill is an incentive for serving. It's the individual choice in the matter. We also have other incentives, such as enlistment bonuses, and reenlistments bonuses. So basically, you're saying a person is a sucker for having the desire to further their education at the expense of the military? I, myself, did not join specifically for the education benefits, but rather because I felt the need to serve my country.
I may not agree with all the politics that are happening these days, but the fact of the matter is this; I am here, in Iraq, right now, serving my country. And the fact that you feel people such as myself deserve to die is the MOST FUCKED up thing I have ever heard. And then you try and backpedal, saying that your statement said different? What a low-life, worthless piece of shit, excuse for a human being you are. You're the type of person that honestly has no fucking clue about reality. Or maybe you can see your neighbor and his family "disappear" for a month for no reason, for them to return, battered and beaten. This was the type of life these people led for years. I know, I didn't ask all the right questions, but my recruiter never actually lied to me. I'm just glad I didn't shave my head to be ready for basic training like some guys did.
