Is it William H or William S? For some reason I thought it was S. It doesn't matter either way. I respect Burroughs, but I couldn't finish naked lunch. I have tried twice, and I always lose interest about half way through. His writing style in that book causes my mind to wonder to other places. I always end up thinking about my own drug experiences, and find that I read 30 pages without comprehending a damn word.
It's William S. I like Burroughs quite a bit, but the non-linear format takes a bit of adjusting. His style is not like most other writers. Didn't care much for the Cronenberg film, either. Naked Lunch is still widely read, maybe mostly because it was banned in this country for quite awhile. I do think that he is worth the time. His books are interesting, albeit more than a little bizarre and disjointed.

Great book. Weird movie.
Some of Burrough's spoken word LPs are a fucking trip, half the time he is well strung out on smack you can barely understand a sentence!
