On Thursday I will have been officially on summer break for two weeks. I'd like to say Friday considering I got home at like 7:00 PM on Thursday night and didn't end up doing anything worth noting until Friday, but that won't fly with the Mrs.

All along in my pursuit I've been stuck with trying to get something local because I don't have a car of my own until my brother moves into the city more towards the end of summer. Nonetheless, so long as I'm banking some dough, the car situation will be figured out.

You don't get paid well at grocery stores. There are hot chicks that come into the clothing stores at the Mall which might work. I could clean up weights and wipe down mirrors at the gym I go to, but that would only piss me off watching the "personal trainers" being paid $5 dollars for every $1 dollar I make.

With that being said, where should I work? Any ideas?

I think a pretty cool job would be at a smoothy shop. We have one right next to our gym that does protein shakes and sell supps. I'm not sure how much they get paid, but they must get discounts on supps and smoothies. Just a thought.

"For $20, I can be anyone you want me to be."

Find a local distributor of beer and apply to be a casual. You'd ride along with a driver, lift cases of beer, and get paid pretty decent. The casuals where I work make about $100 a day, which isn't too bad if you don't mind starting early in the morning.

That being said, you could sell memberships, or eventually move up to training people... Gym jobs are pretty sweet, you really don't do much work.

That was actually something that came to mind. How would I go about finding a "local distributer" of beer? It sounds like an excellent idea, I just have no idea how I'd go about doing that.

I was thinking this GNC by this gym a town over that makes shakes and such. Getting supplements at a discount would be ideal.

I'm going to get an app, thanks.

Landscaping or lawn care? Handy with a hammer? Maybe a construction crew?

Been looking for a new job for 3 weeks. Having really horrible luck.
Causing me to be in an extremely bad mood.

Then there's always the local McDonalds. You'd get a discount on the food, too. :barf:

Those are my ideal jobs. I love being outdoors in the sun. It could be my cardio so to speak...

Again, where do I go about finding this job? I wouldn't want to work for the town, the pay is shit, literally.

I would avoid heavy labor or anything too stressful, they take away from workouts.

You could try the phone book. Look up lawn care companies, give them a call and see if they're hiring. Ditto for construction work.

You could also check the classifieds in the local paper for ideas or possible leads.

I've always worked for my mother's company in the summer, this is all new to me. Thanks!

Landscapers and roofers are always looking for workers over the summer. I don't know if you would be interested in painting, but you can make decent pay doing that as well (popular over the summer).

Everytime I see Soxmuscle I think of this kid in Junior High that would wear those nut hugger cowboy wranglers and stuff a pair of socks in his under wear, we found out in the PE locker room one day and never let him live it down....

Yeah be a Chippendale and stuff your pants dawg....

Move to Hawaii and rent mopeds, Exotic Cars or surfboards for $100-120 a day under the table, then drink all night, take lots of drugs, share rent with a friend on an $800 a month place and get laid almost evernight by girls on vacation with a devil may care attitude. Thats what I did....

I'm not sure if this is a knock at me or what but regardless it's just simply not funny.

:hmmm:

To be honest, it reminds me of one of the jokes I make.
