Current workout is one body part daily approx. 16 sets. Done in 45 mins. Have put on 12 lbsin 8 weeks. But am starting to feel fatigued. Was thinking about cuting back to 12 sets per body part. Training each muscle every 7 days. Thanks for any input.

Training each muscle group once a week is good.

The 16 and 12 sets per muscle group isn't good. Larger muscles like the quads should be able to take it, but it's too much for your arms.

Somehting like this is more reasonable. 12 sets for back and quads, 9-10 for chest, 5-8 for triceps, biceps, shoulders, calves and hams.

Ditto to that !:thumb:

I also agree with Fade.

How many days a week do you work out?

Right know I'm working out 6 days taking Mondays off. Two of the six days I include Cardio and 3 of the 6 I include abbs, I in and out with in 45 mins. Thanks for all of your input.

I think thats your biggest problem then, I REALLY think you'd be better off using a 4 day split with a day off in between.....

Work out - Monday, tuesday, thrusday, friday,
Off - Wednesday, saturday, sunday

I don't think your giving yourself enough time to recover and thats why your feeling "over trained" IMAO

If i did that I would have to train more than 1 bodypart per day. I kinda like training 1 part aday cause I can give it my all in that 45 mins.

For Legs, Back and to some extent, chest I agree with you but with arms and shoulders that don't require as much work and get trained while doing back and chest, I think you would be better off combining these small groups together.

Remember, more isn't always better, rest is when the muscles grow so don't overdue it.

I'll give it a shot. Thanks
