Thinking of taking Creatine...

I'm thinking of starting to take creatine, but I'm not sure if I should. I've only been lifting, eating right, and having a good amount of cardio since mid-november and I've seen some nice gains just by changing my diet and having whey shakes.

Is this something I should wait to use until it's more difficult for me to make gains? Are there any adverse affects as long as you take the right amount?

I think it would be the more intelligent thing to wait until you hit a plateau, and then take creatine, its almost a 'get out of jail card', it should quite easily break through the plateau. Unless you are a non-responder.

Adverse effects, well some people experience bloating, and I also remember reading some people get a temporary kind of diahorrea for a week or so until the body gets used to it.. but they are in the minority.

Just either try CEE or something with tri creatine malate ... You'll more likely respawn to theses , even if you're not a responder to reg. monohydrate
 
You don't need to plateau out before you start creatine. Just go ahead and take it.
 
Take it. Once you see the results, you'll wonder why you didn't use it earlier...

I say take it as well.
 
Take it if you want, but when you hit a plateau you'll be wishing you had kept it back for a bit more, I don't see why you should rush things, but on the other hand most people think that it appears to be a good idea to take it now...whatever, up to you.
 
Everyone recommends Bulk CEE, for the reason that it is EFFECTIVE and CHEAP. If you want to go brand wise though CEX by VPX Sports appears to have good reviews, I'm taking it at the moment, but only for the last 3 days so I can't comment on the effectiveness Yet, but my gains have certainly been shooting up, don't know if its me or the supplement though :hmmm: ..but so far so good, just don't like the taste too much.
 
What about VNS Jacked? My friend recently started using it, and I did a little searching on the internet and it seems to be good, can anyone confirm?
 
yea I've heard good things about it too, so if you wanna use it, sure.
 
It usually is $6.99/100g. It goes down to $4.99/100g when you get 10.

As far as 1fast400, www.bulknutrition.com has 1kg of it for ~$48, but I'm not sure what their shipping costs are. CNW was $6 for priority mail (2 days for going across half the country, not bad).
 
Well, I bought a 100g container of Creatine Plus today with my Whey Protein at GNC, but it's just monohydrate. It might be a week or so until I get CEE. Will I see much in the way of results with the monohydrate? I also assume I should take it 4 times a day for 5 days to load it like the bottle says.
 
I haven't bought CEE yet, I got the mono first to try it out. How, exactly will I tell if I respond to it? More vascular veins, more energy, slightly more strength?

A bit better pump, if youve got veins youll get more vascular. You wont have more "energy" but the lifts will go up a tad bit easier. Youll recover quicker. Its not an wham-bam-thankyoumaam supp, it takes a little while to feel right.
 
I've been browsing around and I read creatine can cause hypertension? Is that only if you use a ton of it, or what?

Also, I only weight 160lbs and for the loading cycle for the monohydrate I got it says to take 4 heaping teaspoons a days at 4 hour intervals for 5 days, and after that, just one a day. Is that 4 a day going to be too much for my body?
 
That loading phase is an old school idea. Some people agree with it.... some dont' :shrug:

I personally do for a monohydrate :)

It causes you to hold water which could raise BP. Nothing to worry about if you are young, active, and in good shape.

There is no such thing as "too much". You cant OD. Anything your body doesnt use, youll piss out.
