I am currently following NHE, "Natural Horomonal Enhancement" by Rob Faigin. The diet is a bit outdated so I was hoping to get some insight on when to most efficiently time my refeeds, etc. The diet calls for an Atkin's style way of eating all the time. And then every 3rd or 4th night respetively, you refeed for 2-4 hours on low-fat/high-carb foods. It's basically an all out feast for those 2-4 hours.

Is there any data saying that every 3rd or 4th day is a bad idea? Maybe more frequently? Less frequently? The refeeds basically only serve to partially refill muscle and liver glycogen and to stimulate insulin levels.

Anyone?

I'm just waiting for Jodi to Reply :p

yes it fools body, and helps replenish energy and glycogen, the liver holds total 400 calories and muscle 1200 calories of glycogen on average, every 72 hours on diet either at least 20 percent more calories or many more carbs.this fools body to think it is no longer dieting.it is a very beneficial way of tapering.i do this with my clients,i have been a trainer for 25 years.

Thanks for the replies. :)
