Going in next tuesday for Tommy John on my right elbow, I'm on HRT/TRT I won't be able to do any upper body workouts for 4-6 weeks untilI start rehab, and won't be able to do anything for 3 weeks, should a lower my dose or keep it the same? What are the benefits of TRT/HRT for healing my elbow?

I'm in a similar situation, 90% sure I have damage to both my labrum. Getting the runaround by the doctors to set up an appt. for an MRI. Don't have insurance so I put off going for farrr too long, and the ortho's they reccomended to me don't seem too eager to accept charity care as insurance.

Also on trt, and recovery for a labrum repair can be 6-8 months before you can lift again. I'm hoping being on 250mg test and having a good diet + cardio + whatever exercises I can do like abs/lower body etc. will help me at least retain something.

Good luck to you bro, I would just keep cruising as is. I've heard test is beneficial to collagen synthesis, but only up to a dosage of about 250mg a week after which the effect can start to be negative. It should help you maintain at least your body composition a bit better as well. Keep eating at maintenance and you should be able to come back to your old size pretty quick. Just keep in mind it could be worse.... I feel like I'll have to start all over again after nearly a year out of the gym
