Hello everyone. First I want to say this is a great site with excellent information! I've learned quite a bit over the past couple of weeks but I now need some advice taylored to my situation.

I'm 6'5 and currently weigh 222 to 225 lbs (fluctuates every day). I'm honestly kinda skinny but I do have a bit of a gut from my college days :D . I'm looking to bulk up right now and over the past few months I've seen nice increases in my strength but very little in growth. I've just started a bulking diet but I'm having to fight hard to stay on it (i'm so used to eating whatever I want whenever I want). I'm also taking creatine and the whey protein shakes.

Here's my weekly workout -

Monday - Chest/Triceps
Tuesday - Basketball (I play in a league twice a week)
Wednesday - Back, Biceps, and shoulders
Thursday - Basketball
Friday - Legs
Saturday and Sunday off but I do mountain bike at least once on the weekend for about 1 - 1/2 hours.

I also ride the bikes for 15 minutes before and directly after W/O.

Is there too much cardio in my routine? The basketball is very intense as well as the mountain biking. I usually half-ass the stationary bikes at the gym. I'm really scared to cut out some of the cardio because I don't want the gut to grow on me :D

Does everything look OK for bulking? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Chris

with your high amount of cardio this will be difficult.

drop this to a 5 minute warm-up before your work-out only

For bulking it's quite a bit, you will defintely need to eat more to gain size.

you should be more concerend with your diet, don't use cardio as your main means of maintaining your weight/bf.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear! I get to cut back on the cardio! :D I figured I was going a little overboard.

I see I need to make a little more of an honest effort with the diet. It's been the hardest part of this lifestyle because of my work but the time for excuses are gone

Thanks to both of you for your help!

Chris
