Everyone one here is so "white" in their music taste....no variety.

I like what i like. I'd rather listen to the same thing all the time and really enjoy it than listen to lots of different things just for the sake of it.

As it goes i DO like a hell of a lot of music, but how can any bearing on somebody's entire musical taste be extracted from a sample of just five artists?

I listen to many different genres, but metal is my favourite. More than likely, my top five will consist of five metal bands, but number six could be Bob Marley or Shostakovich.

You never know...

BUT! Yes the RHCP are white but some of their big influences are from James Brown, Hendrix, George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, and Sly Stone. Among others.

I meant as in it is just typical that white guys who lift are sterotypically going to like music that I don't think is that great.
Metallica, SOAD!, etc. It's ok but IMO it comes down to these guys sounding like their bitching all the time. Make some good music...I don't want to hear you whine.
Zepplin and Floyd are different...I think they both made some good MUSIC.

Nah, I see what you are saying. I used to hate Metallica, but I <3 them now. I think SOAD has gone downhill recently and they suck.

I just picked my very top favorites who I listen to mostly, I have a shitload of other bands I love but I don't know if I should list them all.

By the way, this thread was list favorite bands. I wouldn???t consider rap a band, until at least one of the members learn to play a fucking instrument. Pop artist are not in bands. I hate country music artist, but I consider some of them as bands, because they can play an instrument.


My favorite music is classical, and my favorite group is the Silverwood Classical Quartet. They are incredible. I have seen them perform twice. They were better than Tool, and that is saying a lot coming from me.

Early stuff was fantastic, lost their way after that a bit.
