ugh. new problem. ERROR: the system cannot find the specified path
or ERROR: the system cannot find the file specified
or ERROR: files missing from job. Please recheck
how do I fix thes?
That folder you are deleting is where the torrent is being dl'ed to, just leave the folder until it has dl'ed completely then you can move it where ever you want to, you should actually set up a folder called Torrents and then specify your torrent manager to direct all new files there, then instead of deleting files from it, just copy them to wherever you want to store it, that way the torrent can remain seeded for a while and keep your rating up....umm. u no how when you first download the torrent the folder comes on the desktop then you open the folder and it starts to download. I delete the folder immediatly after it starts DLing is that bad?

I have a secondary internal HDD that I use for torrents and internet DL's after I get the torrent I copy the music to my music or video folder on my primary HDD's other partition for media....plus I have a 500GB external HDD where I share my media with my other PC's and laptop on the network.... I know torrents and you confused me with that one. I think you're telling him to stop moving his files around. Just set the file to download into it's permanent location and leave it there until you delete it. In my doc's I have a file named downloads. All my torrents there and stay there. I do delete all the AXXO torents after I reach my ratio on them, but my MMA torrents continue seeding til I reformat my HDD. This brings up another issue about torrents.
Normal HDD are not really good at dealing with the constant add and delete life of the average torrent freak like us. An external HDD is better so that the system HDD does not take such a pounding. The defragmenting needed also goes way up if you are a steady torrent user so make sure you do that during those times when you are away from the comp danny.
Yeah but he's new at this and you're ... well ... you're you Manic. If you were dropped into torrents with no priors you'd be l337 in about an hour.I have a secondary internal HDD that I use for torrents and internet DL's after I get the torrent I copy the music to my music or video folder on my primary HDD's other partition for media....plus I have a 500GB external HDD where I share my media with my other PC's and laptop on the network.
He made it sound like he was deleting the folder as soon as it started DL'ing giving his torrent no where to dump it's pieces. Which is like going to fill a bucket with water then taking the bucket away as soon as it starts to fill with water....![]()
It seems that your Torrent Client has lost it's way, you need to open it and make sure the path to your downloads folder is correct, I know when I switched from Azeurus to µTorrent when I tried to DL a new torrent it was still trying to open Azeurus, I had to Google a solution to make micro my default program to open torrents....no i keep the original folder i dont delete it, but for some reason it keeps saying
ERROR: the system cannot find the specified path
