My freshman year, I knew 10 people starting out in pre-med. Now, only three are still in science related majors, and none are applying to med school.

whats your major? are you pre-med?

What gococks is trying to say, is that, he majors in everything, and knows that no one knows everything in every field but him. This is why you will fail at any class that is even remotely related to chemistry, bio-chemistry, quantum mechanics, science, or anything related to science. Since science is written in the english language this also includes english, and any word written in english which is every possible field you could major in that exists, even pottery. So just settle for a low key janatorial job at a middle school, or be prepared for a life of failures. Relatively speaking that is. ;)

Spellcheck: off

I chose A for the following reasons:

1) Success at this stage of your life is extremely important. It sets the groundwork for the rest of your life and if you don't get it now, it is much, much harder to get it later. The success you gain now you will carry for the rest of your life.

2) Love right now is a crappy reason to stay somewhere. I know you don't want to think about it but chances are the love you have now isn't going to last more than a couple years anyway... is it worth trading a lifetime of success for?

3) I think you seriously underestimate the love, friendship and fun factor of A... When you go to any of these schools, it will be a major life change and there will be new people surrounding you. This could make these 3 factors a lot higher on somewhere you put it low or a lot lower on somewhere you have it high. The truth is, these 3 factors are all completely unknown at all these places, even if you think you know now. The only thing you can really gauge is the success level (even this may be somewhat unknown)

I have walked into situations in my life where I left everything behind and found lots of love, friendship and fun waiting there and had no idea it would be there before making the jump.

Go with success

No, my major is chemistry, so most of the people I started out with were pre-med, but they all either switched majors because they hated it or because they failed a core class.

All I was saying is that most people who start out in pre-med don't realize how incredibly competitive and hard it is to get into med school. Then their junior year they tell their advisor that they are going to take the MCAT's and their advisor tells them how it really is. One of my old chemistry professors does something the first day of every course he teaches. He puts this girls full transcript up on an overhead, and she probably got 7 or 8 B's and one C in her entire college careeer, the rest were A's, and had a decent MCAT score, but didn't get into med-school.She graduated with a 3.85. She had to work in the field for 2 years before being accepted to a tier 2 med school. Majoring in science isn't that hard if you enjoy it, but there are thousands of people with 4.0 GPA's trying to get into the top med schools, so having something like a 3.6, which is really good, isn't shit if you're trying to go to med school.

This is why i'll never post anything showing my name, my lab phone number, or the people who also work in my lab. I can picture someone getting mad about something I post and calling the head of my lab and saying something like "He makes drugs in your lab and sells them to children"

yeah, I like it a lot. I just don't get to ever go out to bars at all, so I'm a hermit.

One of my roommate's major is something like "sports and entertainment managment" and he watches no less than 6 hours of tv a day and goes out and gets drunk every night, and I hate living with his lazy ass.

I didn't read everyones posts yet but I said B. The reason being is that you need a balance of everything in life. Love, friendship, fun and success.
Sure love is a little low on that one but think about it.........If you have Fun, Friendship and Success then you by nature will be a happier individual by being happier love will evolve and gravitate - especially if you have a good friendship base.

JMHO and pretty much how I like to lead my life.

C-Nippissing University (Canada)(just have a lot of family not so much a good school)

Shit that isn't even considered a university up here. It is about 4 hours north of Toronto and fucking cold and snowy in the winter. Last place you would want to be.

A degree obtained in Canada, is no good in the states - :finger:

You might as well print it out on your inkjet
