Hi, I'm kinda new to weight training, sorry if this has been discussed before, tried searching the forums for the answer to this but couldnt find what I was after.
For the past 3 months Ive been using the following training split in prep for the basketball season
Mon: upper
Tues: lower
Wed: light cardio
Thurs: upper
Fri: lower
Sat: cardio
Sun: off
The seasons now started and I play in a comp on Tuesday nights and another one on Thursday nights. Should I switch to a full body workout Mon, Weds & Fridays to save energy for the games or will my energy and muscles be ok continuing with the split above?
I'm also curious to know what sort of program professional athletes use? NBA players sometimes play 4 games a week, do they train at all on game days or just off days or every day?
