What makes you think that won't happen? I think it probably will.
And if it does it's just going to build even more contempt towards the US inside of the Muslims who hate us and those who aren't sure...

It tried to join. Unfortunately, I'm 4-F due to my right ear.

If you're talking about my pushing the bleeding hearts buttons about the people in the Middle East, it just that, pushing their buttons. If you think that I'm serious, it's your own tight-sphinctered-ass that's the problem.

And I still don't believe that they should get one fucking cent.

no, I just think you're a know it all ass wipe with no real world experience.

Almost as bad as being :banned: by him...:roflmao:

Why, because I don't want to send them my money? You do understand where this money will come from, don't you? :bulb:

It isn't about the money. I don't think we should send a penny, because I know the families of the innocently killed will never see a cent. That isn't the point.
Some of the remarks show absolutely no respect or consideration to the mothers, sons, daughters, fathers, cousins, best friends, grand mothers, grand fathers, etc, that were lost, because our government jumped before thinking.

Come on, have some god damn respect for the children who's only crime was being misfortune enough to be living in a Country that harbors evil men with political agendas that take no consideration to other people's lives.

That's just one of the many reasons why we shouldn't send money.

When did anyone in this thread say anything disparaging about the US soldiers? I have never have and I never will.

Here I'm torn. Part of me does feel bad for them simply because of their misfortune, but another part of me realizes that they will simply grow up into the same misbegotten people that their parents are. No amount of money or "democracy" is going to change that.

I'm all for bringing our people back.

Bingo.

Their upbringing, with or without us, is out of our control. So I am not going to give a shit about them.

Does that make a me a "heartless fucker?" I suppose and I dont care. I want to get our troops back and this is another reason to stay there a lil longer in my book.

Of course, I think Kel wasnt talking of our soldiers there, but the people that live there.

I also want our soldier???s home. I want the fuck out of Iraq.

Also, think about this. Think about it real fucking hard. If our government was so concerned with our national security, we wouldn't have this border problem, now would we.

After you think about that for a while. Think some more. Because our government doesn???t give a shit about you, and they don't give a shit about the innocent Iraqis killed. They only care about numbers, polls, power, money, control, and more money.

DG posted a good article about how we are brats. I agree with it mostly. I think we are lazy and spoiled to the point that we would rather keep our mouth shut and enjoy our comfortable life than to stand up for what we believe in.

I love my country. I consider our politicians a virus of my country. The country isn???t the government. A country is nothing more than the will of the people living in it. Even if a country is ruled by a dictator, the will of the people still define the country. If the people's will is to lay down and let 1 person run over them, then that is just how it is. I WON???T BE RUN OVER. I will fucking die before I let somebody push me around.

I want my country to be great. I want it to be strong. I want the will of the people to be heard. WE ARE NOT BEING HEARD, because we are not being forcefully about it. Our politicians can't do shit to us if we stand our ground. There are a lot more of us than there are them. I am going to nag and nag and nag and nag and nag and bitch and nag and bitch and nag and bitch and nag until I die, or until my elected officials start doing their FUCKING job, and representing the will of it's citizens.

I am not going to hold it against someone for what they might become later. That is the dumbest fucking shit I have ever heard.

I just don't see this new government working, there is just way too much polarization between the different sects....the only way it might work is if the US maintains a huge military presence for over a decade and thats just going to cause more problems with the Muslim's who believe our very existence on Earth is evil....
I tend to agree with this statement. A democracy is only a reflection of the will of the people. The Iraqi people are ghettoized by centuries old ethnic divides. The majority will be a de facto tyranny in the democratic process. In our own country, we've seen how well that's worked with the republican majority of the last 6 years. Only in Iraq, the end result of 'bad' politics is death, destruction and mayhem.

I agree 100% with your assessment of politicians.

I also agree that our borders are more important that the shit hold known as Iraq.

Lastly, consider that you have the right to bitch and bitch and bitch. That tells you a little something about the quality of this country.

that's how an Ideal democracy should be.

the country is against sending more troops to Iraq, yet

GWB just ordered 21,000 more troops to Iraq. Joint Resolution 114 gives him the right to call war at his discretion. It's the politicians that control the country, and it is being shaped by each of their personal agendas. I might be wrong, but I would guess that the majority of politicians are devoted to make decisions based on their careers, rather than America as a country.

I'm not American, but I still care. War is fucked up. PERIOD.

It doesn't give him discretion to start a war.

It does permit him to authorize use of force pursuant to UN resolutions and/or defend the US from Iraq. Since Iraq didn't attack the US, Bush took the UN route. Then he violated UN Res. 1441 by invading Iraq before the weapons inspectors could provide any evidence of Iraq's noncompliance with other UN resolutions.

On the whole though, I do agree with you.

thnkx for clearing that up.

one question

"Whereas the efforts of international weapons inspectors, United States
intelligence agencies, and Iraqi defectors led to the discovery that
Iraq had large stockpiles of chemical weapons and a large scale
biological weapons program, and that Iraq had an advanced nuclear
weapons development program that was much closer to producing a
nuclear weapon than intelligence reporting had previously indicated;"

is this true? they found evidence of nuclear weapons?

where did it all go when Iraq got invaded?

Syria

"Nizar Nayuf (Nayyouf-Nayyuf), a Syrian journalist who recently defected from Syria to Western Europe and is known for bravely challenging the Syrian regime, said in a letter Monday, January 5, to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, that he knows the three sites where Iraq's Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) are kept. The storage places are:

1- Tunnels dug under the town of al-Baida near the city of Hama in northern Syria. These tunnels are an integral part of an underground factory, built by the North Koreans, for producing Syrian Scud missiles. Iraqi chemical weapons and long-range missiles are stored in these tunnels.

-2- The village of Tal Snan, north of the town of Salamija, where there is a big Syrian air force camp. Vital parts of Iraq's WMD are stored there.

-3-. The city of Sjinsjar on the Syrian border with the Lebanon, south of Homs city."

Where did it all go? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure nothing was found.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the US gave the shit to Saddam so we know at one point he had it, and there has been evidence that it most likely ended up in Syria...

Huh......???

im trying to catch up on the issue. My understanding is limited.

but....so............the US gave Saddam nuclear weapons, then proceed to Invade his country for having it?

There are no WMD's in Iraq, at least ATM.

To go bakc a page or 2, I think we will, need, and should keep troops over there for several more years.

If we leave, the terrorists will tkae that as "A victory over Satan's spawn, America" and it will bolster there ranks and wallets like we can't even imagine.

If we leave Iraq, we might as well pull out of Afghanistan and give up on Osama. 1) He is nowhere near Afghanistan, and 2) all the rebels will jsut jump the border and kick us out of Afghanistan

If we leave, we can kiss our precious democracy we built over there gone, in a matter of days, if that.

If we leave, we have to answer to the whole rest of the world of our fuck ups, including losing political ground to russia, france, and germany.

If we leave, (or if we stay), our country will stay divided and angry. This issue will not fly away as soon as we pull out.

If we leave, yes, we will save some American lives. I would love to, we might save how many, a couple hundred? I knwo some here dont care, but we would be signing the death notice for tens upon tens of thousands of Iraqi's.

I think we should stay, and yes, I am doing my part. If we really want to end it all though, we would have to take over and brainwash all of the middle east. That wont happen, this is goign to need to be a diplomatic war, w/ our presence strong.

Side note, why no press on Osama Bin Laden? Where the fuck is he??

We agve Saddam weapons, not nuclear weapons. Also, he was "supposed" to have destroyed the big weapons we gave him, and theres some form aof a paper trail linking him to destroying them, whether its true or not, IDK. But Manic, supposedly, theyr gone.

Should I stay or should I go now?
Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go there will be trouble
An if I stay it will be double
So come on and let me know ...

Should I stay or should I go?

WMD's don't have to be nuclear, he wouldn't have destroyed them all, he just moved them to a different country (Syria), same place he transported his sons and I'm sure his weapons were more important to him than his sons....just like Dr. Evil muahahahaha

I remeber when I was an expert on what happended to the WMD's back in 2k2, reading the scott ritter report. I remeber how his credibility was tarnished by the admin, yet it was all propaganda. He had accounted for 95%+ of all WMDs including 100% of all nuclear and biological weapons.
