Those things have a ton of sugar in them... so i suppose ill avoid them. But are there any bars out there that you can actually eat on a regular basis? It'd be a huge time saver for me if there were something i could eat on the run, instead of having to precook things or have a shake all the time.

oh christ, posted in wrong forum. sorry :/

yeah, i saw that thread!

so i get the thing about protein bars being evil... sugar alcohol etc... but does that mean that there are no bars in existence that come without sugar or sugar alcohols?

i dont care if it tastes like im eating dry dog poo, as long as its something i can pull out of my cabinet and eat while im walking out the door.

Basically, they will disguise sugars and SA's as fructose, maltodextrin, poly dextrose, barley malt, rice syrup, maltitol, sorbitol, glycerol/glycerine, xylitol...and some new ones just coming out......etc!

man... so why doesnt someone just make a bar without all that crap in it? it seems like it'd sell pretty well.

what if i eat a block of frozen broccoli on the way out the door, would that work?

yeah thats true... some of the recipe's in the recipe section didnt look half bad... but i was just lookin to see if there was anything sold in stores that was as good.

hey... maybe there's a niche there someone could fill. anyone got some good cooking skills and an entrepreneurial spirit? :D
