It is supposed to 98 degrees today. With high humidity so it will feel like 105. I've lived here in Mass for 9 years and this will be the hottest weather I've experienced for MA. :scared:

It will bring back memories of good 'ol Houston.

Global Warming, Shmobalwhoring

Actually heat waves like this were more common 30 years ago. So there!

Just wait you may get what we have right now in the next day or two

96.8 degress F I know not that bad but with the Humidity it will feel like 118.4 F

Rut ro raggy.

I was there a few weeks ago and I lived in NE for 30 years. I don't recall the humidity ever being as bad as it was a few weeks back. Believe it or not I was grateful to come back to AZ at 115 degrees with very low humidity

Last year (2005) was the hottest year ever recorded on Earth.

Maybe this is just cyclical. But all of the scientific evidence, from scientists from NASA, to NOAA, to Sweden, to Korean, and India and Australia is saying that it's very likely global warming is actually happening and that it's caused by humans.

This is not a political issue - it's a scientific issue. :thumb:

Well I'm not saying the warmest years were 30 years ago, but according to alot of people that live up here they say really hot days such as this were more common. I don't know what it averaged out to.

But I totally agree with you, it is a scientific issue, I don't know why the fuck people associate it with politics, seriously now.

I can say, "Global warming isn't happening", then people will call me a "conservative wingnut". I will mention nothing of politics whatsoever, but alas.

Global warming is happening, but it's not happening fast enough to really affect weather like this.

A quote from national geographic: "There is little doubt that the planet is warming. Over the last century the average temperature has climbed about 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.6 of a degree Celsius) around the world."

The earth does go through cycles too. This is most likely a cycle, not global warming.

101 degrees here today, plus humidity to make it feel like 115 i heard...

But good thing I work in an indoor pool with a broken air conditioner. No humidity problem there..........
