Truthfully I've been on and off about this decision. I was planning on doing a cycle to get my weight up, that's it, and going natural again from there. Just curious on what you think about that? I would like to be 180-190 by the end of this year? Is that a unrealistic goal without a cycle?

If you gained 30 lbs in 9 months, and you are only 162, you're obviously not fat so what you gained I'm most likely lean mass. That rapid weight gain would lead me to believe your test is fine. That's obviously speculation. If you wanna be sure then go ask your doc for blood work. Make an excuse and tell him you dont get horny and you think there's a testosterone problem. I think your fine but it never hurts to know for sure

Pete, seriously you should maximize your natural genetics before getting on gear. I know it's tempting, but wait. Track your true food intake for a week, eat normal so we have a baseline. I really think the issue is nutrition based.

Let me just tell you 1 thing. Your gonna gain 20-30 pounds your first cycle if you eat right. The hit it and quit it ideal is harder than you would imagine after you see the body transformation on your first cycle. It's mentally addictive. If you can wait, I would. You most likely won't wanna stop if you have the means to afford to cycle again. Also just my opinion. I love gear and the mental high I get when I'm on cycle. That's the main reason I keep cycling. Oh yeah, the muscles are a nice side effect too

1) Does it stunt my growth if I do a cycle

2) I only plan on doing 1 cycle ever. How much of my gains will be lost after I finish it etc?

Yeah I definetly agree with you but I am very mentally strong and I honestly only plan to do this 1 cycle and work really hard naturally after that. I just want to get up to that weight so I can maintain it. I am about to go into the job market cause I graduate in 9 months. I would like to be taken more seriously by my peers and boss and not be the "skinny guy" anymore.

No it won't stunt your growth. Youre about done growing upwards at your age anyway.
You will keep most of your gains if you PCT perfectly. Obviously you will have some waterweight with test that you will lose but I don't consider water as (gains). Research PCT really well if you are really considering cycling. It's probably the most important part of your cycle besides eating so you don't wanna fuck it up.

You have a good motivating factor. People do judge you on how you look as fucked up as that may seem but most times it's women and your lazy friends that don't put in the work at the gym and in the kitchen. Honestly, fuck what anybody thinks of your look. Impress with your brain first and foremost. Your young. The body will come along in time. Nobody gets huge overnight.

I'm not insecure by any means and i am a pretty decent looking guy and women isn't a problem. I do keep my brain very sharp but your right people do judge on looks and I would like to be taken more seriously if you know what I mean especially how ambitious I am with what industry I am going into.

I really appreciate everything that has been said by everyone. Keep the advice coming remember I'm here to learn.

In the mean time, start logging your meals and re-evaluate EVERYTHING your doing. You have one of those body types that I'm sure everyone here wants (hard gainer that develops nothing but LBM fast).

Pete don't worry about being skinny. You don't have to fight against life. You just have to go with it. It will take you from skinny to being bigger.

The honest truth is guy's or your boss at your first job will envy you because your slim. Older guy's want to be slim and younger guy's want to be bigger!

You can get up to 180 naturally. I was the same weight as you when I was your age and now a few year's later I weigh 190.

Look at it this way. You have many year's to live. And if you enjoy working out and learning about your body you have plenty of time to try different workout's and diet's to keep refining. Not one workout plan will work forever. You have to try new plan's; there are plenty to choose from.

I think u should work on diet/training, growing it's 80 % diet.. when your ready do a cycle like Heavy suggested test only.

Thanks bro, I am definitely listening to HEAVY on this one in regards to strictly test but I still have a lot of research to do. I have an appointment for blood work Monday. And I'll start tracking my foods for a week like ANABOLIC said and see what he thinks. I'll post the results and my actual weight after my doctors appt. All of you have helped me tremendously in making this decision. Any and all feedback is very much appreciated. You guys wrote the book I'm just reading the mother fucker!

do you have to run a ai on a low test only cycle.lke 500mg week .i have ran cycle with ai and with out never notice much diff really i all ways use ai and clomid during pct.was just wondering for people that are not senstive to estrogen like me need to run a ai during a low dose tet e only cycle?
 
I run AI's on all cycles to control my e2 levels. Not gyno prone at all, but my e2 levels get high even on 500mg test a week.
 
i ran ai halfway through 1 test only cycle but dropped it after a couple of weeks and never have a prob. i like to limit the amount of things i take unless i KNOW i need it. Although i always do put on alot of water weight but i like it.
 
I was just like u Pete u say only one cycle but to be gaining gaining gaining and the stop it's soooo hard to use that edge again

I was the same as him at his age, and went up to 180 shortly thereafter, and went over 200 pounds a few years later, benching 315 for six reps. All natural, and I would have said all the same things he said about his diet and being a hard gainer.

To the original poster - keep on it. Switch up your routine. It may be that you are overtraining and doing to many sets (I gained better when I stopped working out quite so much as I did when I was 22). It also happens that you will put on weight a little easier as you get a couple-few more years under your belt.

Just things to consider.
