The United States reportedly charged on Friday Herbalife Nutrition Ltd. with bribing the Chinese officials to further its operations in the Asian country.
According to the document seen by Bloomberg, Herbalife is accused of paying the Chinese officials, including the Beijing Government agencies, as well as the media representatives to boost its business in the country.
The company's stocks plummeted more than 12% upon after the news before trading was halted due to volatility.
