A U.S. military official says probable cause has been found to keep holding an American soldier suspected in a shooting that killed 16 Afghan civilians, including 9 children and three women. (March 13)

Disgusting event for sure. Not all the facts are known yet so I do agree with not telling the press who he is. When all is known maybe he wont be guilty of what the press is blasting out. They do normally blow things out of proportion. Especially if they can get digs in at the military.

If this guy did what they are saying then I have some questions I would like answered long before I want the world to know his name.

Why did he do it? if he in fact did.

Was it because he had a vendetta against them?

Could it be that he knew that there was something going on it that home that was causing the deaths of members of our troops and his command was not following up on it?

Was he suffering from PTSD and still sent back into the line of fire?

If he did have PTSD, did the military know about it and send him anyway?

Did he just murder them because he wanted to?

Far too many unanswered questions at this point.

I don't care about the political impact and would rather give a man who has served this country for so long his due. Find out the truth before frying him in the press or making him the "sacrificial lamb" to show how much Obuma "cares" about the Afghanistan people.

If he in fact murdered them then fry him for that and for bringing shame to all the other men and women serving their country.

I just say lets here all the facts before we go off the handle.

This is what happens when you push people too far. I dont agree with what he did but I can understand how someone would come to that breaking point and just snap.
When I was in Iraq I felt like everyone was the enemy. Mostly bc almost everyone there wanted to kill me lol. But when you lose friends to people who dont wear uniforms its easy to group them all together.

IDK I would imagine punshiment is going to be swift and harsh. This story is really sad if it is true as it has been reported and honestly if it is true I hope the punishment fits the crime. killing kids is unacceptable to any civilized nation.

the US shouldn't even be there, so he's guilty.
