It's been brought to the staffs attention that we need a little refresher on personal info, pm's and sourcing through pm.
Sourcing through pm is against the rules. This means, members who are not paying sponsors should not be selling items or, messaging others with the intent to sell.
We used to have a buy, sell, trade sub but, it was removed because some members were taken advantage of and scammed. Hence the above rule of only buying and selling from paying sponsors.
Also, no member should be asking another for their personal info or anything remotely close. This is absolutely unacceptable and if it's found out that someone is doing this, they will be removed permanently from the forum.
Your personal info should be the most important thing to you and your safety so DO NOT give it out.
If you are receiving messages from a member and it seems shady, please let a mod know. Screen shot the messages so we are able to assess the situation and make a call on what to do or not do.
There have been some instances lately where a member seems to be doing exactly this. We are looking into it and it will be addressed soon.
So in short -
Don't buy and sell through pm
Don't give ANYONE any info that could put you at risk
Don't try to get any such info
