Vibram Five Fingers

The new balance minimus are super comfortable without looking like a freak

I've been using vibrams for a long time now. Pretty much any minimalist shoe is good.

I'v never tried the new balance minimus before? Might give them a go

Are they expensive?

The minimus have been getting good reviews, as have the vibrams. Problem is anything vibram can be a bit pricey.

New balance is taking some flak because the minimus has too tick of a sole to be a "minimal" or "barefoot" shoe.

I, personally, rock terra plana vivo barefoot's. They have a 5 mm sole, with no rise, same thickness all the way around.

Any shoes like this take some getting used to, especially for cardio purposes, but I honestly love them

I also get back pain if im walking around in 'popular' athletic shoes with a thick ass sole or any standard shoes...
My vibrams completely got rid of that, i could hike all day and it feels like a good tiredness! no a sore aching back

Love them

I just got the New Balance/Vibram Minimus shoes! They are awesome and super cheap..mine were only $65.

you can also check out fila's skeletoes. much cheaper than vibram but pretty good. I use them for whenever I do track running.

here's what they look like:

I just bought a pair of the New Balance and I was working out in pumas. I really like the New Balance minimus b/c I couldn't bring myself to wear the vibrams. However my training partner recently bought a pair of the vibram KSO and has been working out and running in them. His calves and legs are responding better in the last 4 weeks than in the last 6 months, and now he swears by them. Seeing 1st hand the gains he made is what pushed me over the edge to make the purchase. The vibrams were still over $100 so I may wait and see how the New Balance work out, but they are great so far.

The minimus are the balls man....had mine for about 3 months.....Only deal is they need washed like once a week if you wear them without socks like they were meant for. Washing machine works wonders and so far no damage to them.
