I hate this time of the year when everything starts blooming and my allergies run rampant. I've grown especially tired of the medications out there with the side effects that more or less spoil the relief.

So, I've decided to take a holistic approach and use vitamins, herbs and minerals. So far, I've found quercetin, bromelain, a bioflavonoid complex and vitamin C especially helpful.

Any other ideas?

Bio Force USA makes a product called Allergy Relief. It is more of an "as needed" supp. I suffer from bad seasonal allergies and have used all sorts of prescription and OCT meds with all different results. It was no miracle cure but helped quite a bit! U can get it at Vitamin Shoppe.

A buddy of mine was recommended a product called Petadolex. I looked it up and it said it was for migraines, but one of the ingredients (butterbur) is great for allergies from what i have researched.

My wife has it pretty bad and we have a monthly bill for Zyrtec. I may need to look into your holisitc approaches :winkfinger:

Anxious to see your results. I use Vitamin C and Sudafed, but I'd love to find a natural alternative to the latter.

go to your local whole food or local produce, and purchase localized bee honey. It really helps my allergies, and its all natural. Your probably allergic to your natural surroundings and pollens. The bee honey, will help you build natural antibodies. Good Luck!

Sudafed is like crack. I cant use that garbage.
It also doesnt help that I have no eyebrows and eyelashes. I have alopecia and absolutely no hairs to filter dust and pollen.

What meds do you usually use?
Sorry to hear about your scorched pants.

Yep, not much of a fan either, but it seems to be the only thing that provides relief for me. I'd love to find something else that works.

ive always heard eating fresh honey, made by bees in the local area will help with alergies.

1) do you ever take both at the same time?
2) how long do you take them?
3) what side effects are you getting? (dry mouth, dry eyes, drowsiness, etc.)
