Hey guys, ive been training now for about 2 months. Iam currently about 5 ft 5 and weight 168 pounds. I have a little fat but nothing major. So what do i want to get from my training? Well Ive started bodybuilding with my dad as he has been training for years. I want to ask I recently bough usn muscle fuel anabolic protein and was wondering what you think about that? Also how much should I really be talking a day. I think one shake at 150g is about 538cal and 50protein and 78 carbs. I dont really want to put on any fat but want to gain muscle. My diet is quite clean some like porridge for breakfast with peanut butter and honey, 1slice of brown bread and eggs for lunch and my dinner would vary from chicken to pasta to beef.

So my question is first off how does what im eating look at the minute and also about the protein from the shakes how oftern and how much should I be talking per day and when is the best time to be taking it?

I look forward to ur responses

Thanks

How old are you? If you want to gain lean muscle without much fat gain it's going to take you a lot longer than if you would do a dirty bulk.

I'd come as close to overdosing on cooked chicken breasts as humanely possible. Just eat it and eat it some more. I swear by it. I wish I had eaten then like I know how to eat now. Lay off the peanut butter.

Here's my current 'diet':

Oatmeal w/ natural applesauce
2 scoops whey shake
quart of water

Vitamins: 9600mgs Fish Oil, 1500mgs vit. C, 300mg garlic, 2000mg D3, Primal Defense probiotics, Liv. 52, milk thistle.

chicken breasts w/ jasmin rice
2 scoops whey shake
quart of water

Bagel fat free cream cheese
quart of water

2 scoops of jack3d mixed in fruit punch Cystal Light and water (20 mins. before workout)

-workout- (sip on BCAAs during workout PLUS constant refilling of shaker cup with water)

POST workout: 1500 mgs vit. C

rice chex cereal w/ 2 packets of splenda
2 scoops whey shake (all shakes are mixed in water)
quart of water

chicken breasts (roughly 3 breasts)
sweet potato
quart of water

oatmeal w/ natural applesauce
2 scoops whey shake
quart of water

chicken breasts (3)
little bbq sauce
quart of water

bed

Hope this helps in some way.

listen,
eating 100g or 150g of protein, meat instead of chicken oats or peanut butter
apples instead of bananas .things like that will not give you muscles , you mentioned everything about food and nothing about training, you seem to eat well and more than enough so don't worry about your diet too much just vary your food and eat protein , carbs etc..as you are doing
by the way 168 lbs for 5ft 5 is not small at all.
2 months of training is not much either to start worrying... you are still growing , and when you reach a point where you are not adding any muscles, then you will adjust that by training differently, it is the training that will make you bigger, your body needs a given amount of food .. i am sure you are giving it more than it needs...more food is not better it is just useless.
so if you need training tips just don't hesitate to ask

get on a bulk diet, start a reputable training program like 5x5 or something like that, and take whey protein, creatine, multi vitamins, and fish oil. That's all you need.

Diet is 80% of bodybuilding, possibly 90%.

If you do not get enough protein you do not grow. Protein is muscle, muscle is protein.

If you don't need a lot of protein, maybe you aren't training hard enough.

i never worried about my diet and what i am eating when i was 16-25
i just trained hard and got bigger by the day. As you train your apetite will grow on its own, no need to worry that much about it. people who blame it on nutrition are just lazy.
training is everything.......people in ethiopia or subsaharian desert tribes do not worry as much as most of you about malnutrition.

While training has an effect on appetite, there is a ceiling. THAT'S when you incorporate more food, protein specifically.

Watch your poundages stay the same, while mine go up. When I hit a plateau, I increase my protein. This works for me.
