Just had my bodyfat checked, it was 21%. If you checked out my latest photo you would do one of these:hmmm: Three different clubs gave the same reading. I can't imagine this being right considering I can nearly see my six pac. 21 % usually means a big ol tire around the trunk area.

My trainer said that a great amount of the skin fold felt like water because it was so easy to pinch. He guesses I'm around 14-15% in the tub.
I will be spending more time in the dry sauna and less time consuming sodium rich foods. My cardio work is enough at 4 days per wk.

At 195 lbs. how much water would I need to loose to read 14-15% with the calipers. I know at 200 lbs 2 lbs of fat = 1%. If I loose 2 lbs of water what effect will it have on the calipers?

I think this might be the reason for high readings in the past as well. Diet has always been good but I never payed attention to sodium until recently. This stuff is in everything!

Is there a better method apart from diet to reduce this extra water?
Tanning?
Diruetics
Dry Sauna vs Steam?
Caffiene?
This question is longer than I expected.:blah: :blah:
thanks.

When you are 21%bodyfat it is fat not water. So either the equipment they use is faulty or your trainer is lying to you. Removing water is usually only lasts for a little as while as it is horrible for your electrolite balances and what not. I suggest drinking more water then you do right now and also limit sodium intake. Both will naturally remove the water from your body with out causing any harm
