weighing foods...

i have a question. when i weigh my steaks and stuff. should i weigh it when its raw or when its done? which is accurate? i usually weigh my steaks before i cook them and their like 8-9oz and afterwards their like 5oz

It doesn't really matter so long as you are consistent.

I prefer to weigh my food after its cooked.
