The hammer is finally dropping on Wesley Snipes -- a judge has ordered the actor to immediately surrender to federal authorities so he can begin serving a 3-year prison stint for tax crimes.

Snipes has been appealing like crazy ever since he was found guilty on tax evasion charges in 2008 -- but now, a U.S. District Court judge is putting his foot down ... demanding that Snipes turn himself in ASAP.

okay, so he goes to prison, but some folks in San Francisco CA...are able to collect GA. TAX PAYERS DOLLARS...Okay, that being even an individual that has not worked for over hmmm. 1977 till last year, because he was a drug dealer, but never filed for taxes through those years. Now Snipes who made money to pay for these sorts, probably in his hometown or where he resides, then is going to prison for not paying his taxes. Christ, I know two wrongs are not right, but isn't this kinda calling the kettle black? I don't get it, maybe if he'd filed then yes, but if the government would stop spending like such then maybe we'd be out of debt or a pay raise for the judge

first up I???m pretty sure that 90% of hollywood stars do not take care of filing tax returns, (or even cooking dinner for themselves) but that is no excuse. I also don???t think that law abiding tax payers should have to be punished by having to pay an estimated $40,000 for each of the three years to house Snipes in prison. Instead I think that #1 he should be sentenced to three years community service at a free tax clinic for the middle class tax payers, #2 be forced to pay back all of the taxes that he owes plus interest. And #3 be forced to invest (under goverment supervision) 3 years of his projected income (based on the last ten year average) into a buisines that will help the middle class unemployed to survive long enough to pay thier own taxes!! Don???t agree? Kiss my afro!!!

This is just a case of having more money than scents, if you let someone else handle your money. Especially, if you give someone else power of Atty.

Besides, this hollywood prima got a cushion of a deal, 3 yrs, or 1 1/2, with good behavior.

Al Capone was given 11 yrs and a 50 grand fine, for the same crime!

Go figure.
