What are these guys doing?

Maybe someone can answer this and end my curiousity. There is a group of guys at my gym and about a month before a contest I notice their training habits change quite a bit and they are cutting pretty fast. Their skin looks tighter and they seem to lose body fat really fast. I overhear them talking sometimes and it sounds like some of them are feeling kind of rough during this time, like they can't wait for it to be over. I heard one guy talk about having to get up several times during the night. Are they doing something natural or are they taking something to shed some fat?

Just wondered if anyone here could clue me in.

Well I'm sure that's part of it, but I just get the feeling there is more to it and I was just curious. I mean, the difference between what these guys look like today versus a month before a contest is like night and day.
 
They are probable taking something.
 
I need to get my hands on that stuff :laugh:

The fat loss in that much may not be that much from a % standpoint, but the definition that comes out makes it look alot more dramatic.

And hell yeah they want it to be over. Dieting for a show is excrutiating. When I was competing years ago, it seemed like it was all I could do to stay vertical onstage. As to whether they are taking something or not, that is hard to say just based on what you've said. he likelihood is prbably pretty high though.
 
I personally think they are taking something. Diuretics is a very strong possiblity as it makes you piss like crazy as it drains all the water from you. But the ppl I know who've used them usually start taking them 14-10days before their contest. Cycles of winstrol, t3 throid medication, parabolan, deca-durabolin, & primobolan are also other drugs used in cutting stacks as well. Plus I even know bodybuilders who take all this stuff & do 20mins of cardio at around 7am in the morning on an empty stomach & another 20mins before bed & just have a whey shake & a light fish fillet to get their nutrients. They say this cardio combined with all the drugs mentioned above gets them super ripped. I believe it to as I've seen the results they get from it. But that's to hardcore for me. I'm staying clean & natural as I'm being for thyroid dysfunction with synthroids & have a very slight heart defect. It never bothers me, but I don't want to take a chance.

Could be diruetics combined with hard dieting. Competition dieting is way dif. than your average dieter....

And like BO said, HELL yeah they cannot wait for this to be over with. It's pure hell, yet rewarding in the end. It's bitter sweet.
 
I know what you mean. Other anabolic bodybuilders I've met
usuallty take diruetics combined with hard dieting & the anabolics that I mentioned above. Those anabolics taken alone or preferably together give a really hard, ripped & vascular look along witht the proper diet. As those few drugs I mentioned aboved are typically taken during a cutting cycle. But results from those anabolics will show for not if the proper diet is respected.
