I reached 5 x 5 at 45lbs last week. My best ever.

Very happy.

(good form too, I hate any swinging...so it was all pretty slow and controlled)

I do all my curls (BB and DB) standing with my back to the wall.

As well as standing, I quite like sitting declined by about 30 degrees to the vertical and doing both arms (alternating during the set L R L R etc). It gives a really good range of motion and I get a great pump from it.

I dont dumbell curl but I just barbell curled 135lbs for 7 reps

Thats good!
I'm on about 90 now.

Do you use the straight barbells, or the ones with curves on them.
(sorry don't know the correct jargon)

My DB max so far were 35's alternating for 12 reps and BB max was 75lbs for 10 reps. Preachers was 70 for 8 reps. Then my forearm hurts.

EZ bar but the bar I use has a very slight angle.

i do most everything standing up to place more emphasis on my core.

i actually have a db curl question...is it totally necessary to do the twist as you bring the dbs up? I find it to be much harder and seems to do more to my biceps if i just get them into position like a bb curl and just curl them straight up with palms up the whole way as opposed to starting at my sides. Anyone know any reason why this is?
