Squats are very physically demanding on your WHOLE body and you really do need the recovery time.
I honestly believe you will see your results start to reverse if you over do squats.

They are especially hard when you have different weights on different sides of the bar as this carb-starved moron found out last night.
I try to start each work out with what I consider a butt-kicking exercise. For me this sets the attitude for the workout. I used to to the NFL 225 LBS bench-press "test" but I quickly learned not to hit the chest that hard every workout, so I added Dead Lifts into that category. Was thinking of adding squats, but don't want to over do it.
I think that's a great rountine I have a leg routine almost identical,but I also have another routine that I throw in now so I only do that kind of routine every other week.I used that kind of rountine when I was first starting and did it every week for a least 6 weeks and had great results.
