Whatifsports: Free Online Simulation Games and SIM Matchup

Lets you pair up ANY two NFL,MLB,NHL,NBA or NCAA teams and have the computer simulate the game!

Even gives you play by play!

What If? What if Jordanâ??????s â??????81-82 UNC Tar Heels played the undefeated â??????75-76 Indiana Hoosiers? Want to know who would win in a game between the '85 Celtics and '95 Bulls, or the '77 Canadiens and the '96 Red Wings, or Babe Ruthâ??????s '27 Yankees and the Big Red Machine of '75, or even the '85 Bears and '72 Dolphins?
Our SimMatchup feature will settle such age-old sports debates.
Sports simulations are what we do. We analyze the performance of past and present players and teams utilizing every stat we can get our hands on to predict the outcome of a wide-variety of â?????what if?â??? scenarios.

how can you get college teams earlier than 1996? I want to see who they'd pick between the 91 Huskies and the 91 Hurricanes.

I'd pick the 2008 Mariners over the 1927 Yankees. No disrespect to the 1927 team, but players are bigger, faster, stronger and better nowadays. Take a guy from 1927 and put him in a 2008 MLB training camp and he probably doesn't make the team.

Blasphemy!
Did you just soil the '27 Yankees?
Damn you baboon, damn your team to last place!

Were you not the one who said steriods which makes a player bigger, faster and stronger not make the player better just because he has those advantages?

It's about the skills right.

It's hard to compare players from today and yesteryear.

I only mention the 27 Yankees because they are in the thread title. I think the average player of today is a far superior athlete than the average player from the early 20th century, and that goes for all sports. That doesn't make those early teams and players any less great or diminish their place in history.

I don't think that was me who made those steroid comments. Could have been but I don't remember.

2007 Red Sox vs. 2004 Red Sox.

This site's awesome. Thanks Min0.

i disagree. look at teddy williams. that guy was a physical specimen. he could have been an astronaut and the shit those guys went through in nasa's early program is legendary. put him in todays training camps and he flourishes. maybe even more with better knowlege on how to train

I said "average player." I think we can both agree that Ted Williams was not an average player. You're talking about one of the greatest hitters ever.

my understanding is that the 27 yanks were full of above average players

Who won?
Better yet, try the '75 Red sox. They were an awesome team as much as I hate to admit it.

The diffence may be that the Bosox of '04 and '07 have better pitching.

That was a team was a losing team, come on Shiz....pick a better Yankee team than the '66 Yankees.

It must of been hard for you to find a Yankee team that sucked like the '66 Yanks.

My search would have been easy, just leave the 1919, 2004 and 2007 teams out and the rest would suck balls.

How low can you go.

Mino, i did that simulation on the FIRST try and that was the result. I bet you played the game over and over until the Yanks beat them.
