What is the difference between pro hormones and steroids?

They both are terstosterone arent they?
 
Nothing from a legal perspective. :shrug: They are in the same class as steriods in the legal system. The NFL considers testing positive for PH the same as testing positive for steriods.

No, technically a pro-hormone is a compound such as 1-AD, which has to be converted before it is an active hormone in the body, i.e. 1-testosterone.

Steroids are active hormones, no conversion is necessary.

However, from a legal perspective they are now all classified as anabolic steroids, that is what we think is rediculous about the ban.

I can understand putting compounds such as M1T in the illegal anabolic steroid category becuase it is, but not compounds like 1-AD.
 
There are also many steroids that are not test.
