Albob we should have voted you in for Bush's job.
Seriously, Id have voted for, campaigned for, and donated for Albob for president. a million times better, smarter, trustable, and older than Kerry and Bush. Its too bad Crono isnt old enough to be VP, because that would be the greatest political team ever.

Note:
As enemy combatants, terrorists may be lawfully killed by virtue of their membership in the enemy group rather than their individual conduct. If a nation's armed forces harbor or support terrorists, the facts will determine whether they are lawful or unlawful combatants. Lawful combatants are protected under the Geneva Convention Relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War and entitled to specific privileges while captured. Unlawful combatants have no such rights.
Hey Stick,

This is a big distinction that I was not aware of.
Thanks for the good news.

I actually doubt Iraq would have used WMD's on the US directly. They would have given them to terrorist to use, so they could claim innocence (claim they were stolen).

THAT folks, is why we went in. They couldn't prove they destroyed them, stalled, swaggered, and ultimately lost. Had Saddam played this differently, and abided by sanctions, he would still be in power.
Good summary Stick.

The recent Dolfer report had cited memos from back in the 1991 though. The memos said that if Bush I had gone into Iraq, they would have used them back then.

Chain Link Rich and I would be a fun match since we're both a coulple of geezers in our mid-fourties. I am not looking to be mistaken for the internet tough guy here though so don't get me wrong. I am on his ignore list and not figuring he'd see what I post anyway. Hardright is just an overblown windbag the same as Rich so I though i'd hit two windbags with one crack :whip:

I did ...
Bone, my hat is off to you for your service to our country. I appreciate anybody and everybody who served our country. (Kerry aside since he was basically a traitor and supported the enemy.)

But why did you go to Kosovo (for no reason) and you would not go to Iraq ?
In Kosovo, Clinton put you under control of someone else (UN).

Sorry Milliman I never intended to say or imply I served in the military. I looked for the post that made you feel I did and could not find it. Tell me where it is and I will edit it to be more accurate.

Sorry Milliman. I cannot edit that post anymore as the option is gone. My response was to say that yes I did like that action better. Slobodan Milosevic attacked and displaced 800,000 Serbians. A joint decision was made and he was removed from power. Differances between him and Saddam? We lost not one single American vs Milosevic, we left as soon as we were through, and we are not now trying to control his former country's rescources.

Seems to me that Sadaam did not comply with the joint decision of the UN either. But the UN would not enforce its own rule so the US did it alone. UN would not enforce it since France Germany and China were being paid off by Sadaam in the oil for food deal. Milosevic didn't have the money to buy anybody off since his country was poor.

No arguement on the dead soldiers.

Queery though. Is a war only OK if nobody dies ?

I would think you only go if it is right and you hope as few die as possible.

I respect your question Milliman and will respond to it, but first let us get the deceptive reasons for the Iraq war into the conversation. No one lied to get me to support the war against Milosevic as was the case with Saddam Insane.

Now on to your question. Our leaders ran the action against Milosevic with the protection of our boys in mind. In Iraq we are now getting reports of squads trying to avoid suicide missions. Soldiers are dead from hummers rolling through high risk areas without any armor. We are done there Milliman and should have left already. Parties over, time for the designated driver to bring the boys home.

We all know how much the UN sucks. We can't stop the world from being dishonest, but we can conduct ourselves more honestly in our foriegn affairs.

And yes no one dying in war would suit me fine. I would only go to war against a group of people that attacked our country. I would have gone after our new friend Muammar Kadafi for his actions against us ... but he was dealt with well enough and decided to leave us alone.

I'm no expert in the war and the politics associated with it, but from what I hear the Iraq Government is not yet in place and that is why our troops are still lingering around. They want to make sure things are in order and to my understanding this process is taking place. I agree that we need to get the hell out of Iraq, but not prematurely before things are in place there. We don't want all our efforts and the people that died to have died for nothing and have everything turn to shit over there. I think we have a lot of smart people who I'm sure will pull the troops out as soon as they feel it is appropriate to do so. I too, hope that will be soon. I know that we need to get out of there as quickly as possible. That I agree with completely.

I think they did here too. We hardly lost a guy on the front end.

But it seems they underestimated how many terrorists would come in from the neighboring countries to fight our guys. They probably should have closed down the borders and just dealt with the Iraqi's. The military guys I have spoken with said most of the guys blowing themselves up and running these suicide raids are foreigners, NOT Iraqis.

I would want out of that hell hole too, and it looks like they are just about through. We have trained and equipped a police force and elections in January. It looks like the terrorists want to see civil war so that our efforts will fail. That is why they are killing Iraqis and not just US guys.

And I do not understand how we could ask a soldier or support person to drive an unarmored vehicle over there. That does not make sense.

Well said Randy

Leaving before it is done just to see it fall apart would be a tragedy for all those who lost their lives.

Milliman are we gonna do this "Bush was mislead" stuff again? :finger: We both know better.

Sure we can BC, we can start by cutting off their tongues if they lie and cheat :D
And Max can cut off their weenies...

Then we put the money we would have given the UN into Albob's war chest so we can then put him in the white house instead of Hitlery in '08 :thumb:

I vote Bill O'reilly for President :D 2008
And Albob for Vice President :D

And I gave him Vice President cause he could lick his eyebrows.

Okay, Okay,
We won't go over the fact that the WHOLE WORLD KNEW he had them back in 1991. We won't go over the fact that the UN was trying to verify that he got rid of them and they could not verify it. We won't go over the internal Iraqi memos discussed in the Dolfer report about how Sadaam was trying to mislead Iran into thinking he did have them so they would not attack him. (and at the same time making the rest of the world think that he still had them too)

You are right, we should not go there again. It is way more fun saying the Bush is a lieing piece of s**t than to believe any of the facts.

BC, now you got me pissed.

Why didn't you talk me out of voting for that lieing son of a b%&@#. You need to keep after me dude until I see the light . . .

I dont agree with a lot of things Bush does, and I dont think the Iraq war is good at all, But I do think it would be pretty hard to be the president, so I have to give the bush some respect for that.
