I gave birth to a son a couple of weeks ago and well I have some extra skin on my belly and a few stretch marks so I started working out again everyday with jogging and crunches to try to tone it back up. What is a good diet plan for me? Is there any affordable food that can help me lose extra weight and tighten up my skin? Any advice would be great :)

Affordable food? There's tons of affordable food. Just not sure about food that helps "tighten skin"...Maybe you can try a high protein low carb diet

Melodie, what you really need is time. Keep doing what your doing, start by restricting sugar consumption and stay clear of processed foods. There's over the counter medical for just what you need, just not sure the name, but it's expensive. Tell the pharmacist what you need it for; I have seen great results from burn and accident victims.

Losing fat is the result of eating less calories than you burn.

Melodie, congratulations first off. Second as MaxEarn said time along with good dieting and exercises will help tighten everything back up. Unfortunately stretch marks will go away or they won't. Sorry dear as that is a lasting memory of child birth.

Time, and keep a good diet. But if you're breastfeeding you're gonna have to take in a ton of calories to keep up with production and make SURE you're not putting any chemicals in your body if this is the case. Congrats by the way!

The is true, but keep in mind that the types and amounts of macronutrients (protein, carbs, and fats) effect body composition a great deal as well. Higher protein diets aren't just fad, they work. Getting more then half calories from protein will give you a completely different look and faster results then a higher carb or a mix diet and proteins.

Protein- low sugar yogurt, eggs/egg whites, chicken breast-bone in, fish, and tougher cuts of meats (for stew, pot roast) will be very diet and budget friendly.
