Im in the market for a new exercise bike,,a stationary bike, not recumberant. Thought id ask here and maybe get a good review of one. Im looking to spend about $200.

Thanks!

I am not sure that amount of $$$ is going to get you much. I recomend Cybex.

its almost 3 grand for one...wayyy outta the price range!

Look for used ones...those things last forever with some decent maintenence.

check out locally owned gyms getting rid of equipment, used equipment stores, and the paper......rich people who dont ever use their stuff will part with it cheap if you come pick it up usually.

also...you may be able to lease one fairly cheap....that is always a good option since you may get tired of it and want to switch to an elliptical or something later..plus your investment will be minimal in case it just turns into an expensive clothes hanger like mine did....and so did my treadmill ($2500)....now I just go to the gym and that seems to work better for me...lol.

Ahhh damn bro i should have updated this post...I purchased a schwinn 103 at an amazingly low price 299...usually theyre sold for 400 on amazon or 450 at specialty stores. I just needed something to fry my bod on when my neighbors are home downstairs in the evening...sounds like the roof is caving in with me jumping around at night! :hot:

Sorry i didnt update..ty for the scoop though!

Our high School just bought 7 CYBEX bikes and two gliders. Check with your local High school, see if they are getting rid of their old ones. We just gave ours away. THey were "Airdines" (?)

No prob on updating...if i kept up more with the posts I would have know probably.

i was thinking one of those cycling bikes may be a good investment as well...they are quiet....no electronics to break....and the tension is greatly variable...and they dont take up much space.....probably one of the best home cardio things to buy
