When is it reasonable to cheat?

I think they cheat just as much as men. Except they don't go around bragging about it, so no-one really knows.

Some stats I have heard:

60% of men cheat

40% of women cheat

15% of men's first born children are not their own

30% of men are raising children that are not theirs' (but they think they are if you get my drift

This type of behaviour is just following our biological wiring, quite animalistic IMHO. Even that whole fun chemistry of 'falling in love' is just a set of hormonal responses to ensure that a couple pair bonds and sticks together long enough (usually 6 months to 3 years) to ensure that the species propogates.

It is like an addiction, and even psychologists are now referring to that 'falling in love' as a form of madness.

This is ENTIRELY different from 'being in love'.

So if you are waiting for the earth to move and fireworks, yes it is great, however, keep your knickers on for awhile cause once that biological wiring does kick into action, 'love' really is blind.

And it will wear off.

Another good "T" post!

But, "GOD" says I have to stay married forever, or I'm going to hell -

I have a child that is not biologically mine, however I have adopted her and she is mine as far as I am concerned. I believe that your stats are pretty close.

I think too many people equate GOD with the church. I think it depends on your relationship with GOD and what you are a stand for.

It is more an issue of personal responsibility and what you want for yourself, your life and for your community.

I am flattered you think I am that clever to come up with these stats, but they are not mine.

A few are from the Discovery channel, the 15% one is from my molecular diagnostics course, the woman lecturing is a genetic counsellor, and she stated this as it is difficult to trace or predict some genetic disorders in some families that want more children, especially when this sort of infidelity occurs.

She also stated that this figure does change depending on the race/culture.

It is much lower with Islamic families and much higher in black families.

All of this biological wiring information I got from two books, only a bit of it is my take on this info

1. Emotional Intelligence

2. The Dragons of Eden, the evolution of human intelligence, Carl Sagan

You are either young and havent ever been married or have been married and didnt know how to handle it and got out. Either way, whenever you decide to take that plunge be sure you are ready for it beause far to many people arent these days and divorce is non-stop anymore.

I cant wait to get married and spend the rest of my life with one person!

I also plan on having lots of children, one after the other!

Hey Tit and Crono were first, I miss my little Cronoculus:confused::( He was one of the few who laughed at my jokes and could make me laugh at his....
Actually Tit and Crono, I believe, were a couple before they joined IM.
actually you're both right. Tit and I were barely teens when we met at an internet chat room. We kept in touch for a few years and eventually became an ICQ couple, visiting each other towards the end of our high school years, about the time this site got formed. I wouldn't recommend a long distance internet relationship to anyone, it was one of the hardest trials we have ever faced as a couple, but in the end it also made us that much closer. Things couldn't be tighter between us, but I do wish there had been an easier way for us to have accomplished what we have today. I honestly feel like we're an exception, I really don't think most internet relationships work out in the end.

still, this topic was 3 pages ago. :offtopic: MMMmmmcheating is bad, M'kay?

congratulations on the success. True, most internet relationships don't work out.

So is that why you cheated or her?

no. I cheated on her because your mom wouldn't take "no" for an answer.

on a completely unrelated note, who says I cheated on her?
