Where to go in Spain?

Thinking about heading to Spain for a couple of weeks after I live Calgary this weekend? Only been there once when I was in the Navy and don't remember much. I have some friends that are going to be there and I'm thinking about meeting up with them.

any good "must see" places to go there?

It has been about 10 years, but I really liked it in San Sebastian. It is in the Basque region. The beaches were great, the people were really cool. Basque food could take some getting use to, but if you stick with seafood and lamb, you should be OK. Contrasted with Toledo, the people were pretty snobby and everything was high priced.

I think some friends told me about that place when their cruise shipped stopped there for a couple of days. the seafood is supposed to be very good there, might have to go w/o the gf on this one.
