(skip story/reason and answer bold if you dont want to waste time)

To make a long story short my offseason training was god aweful (i got into computer gaming and it just killed me) i gained almost 30lb in 3months but now im back on the wagon and im starting to bring my weight down and intensity up, so my question is which a good starter supp for a long training season (9-10 months) my training start slow and gradual but as the season goes on about half way through it almost triples in intensity and time and continues to get even harder. At the end of the season we top our training no where close to where we started, so now it is about 4weeks into the start of my training and im curious about good supps to use.I have used whey protein in the past but i never got into supps to well but now im going and i have alot of questions about them since their is alot of good/bad things said about them One to help me train harder and longer and Two to help me have more pronounced muscles and less fat:

Which is the best supp to use at the start of a training season (pre-season) and at the end?
What can help you have better "show" muscles ?
What can help you with endurance and stamina ?
What helps with intensity?
What will get the most "needed" nutrition to your muscle?(what is the most needed by your muscle for strength training)
What will help with burning fat?
And What should i avoid to keep "bad" weight off (im at 45% bf and i need to burn it asap so the supp with the lest cal is best ty)

diet and training . . forget the damn supplements

Hey bro, glad to see you over here and the hell out of the AAS forum.

The thing with supplements is the same thing as AAS. There is no shortcut to diet and training. A supplement, by definition is something you supplement an already solid diet and training program with. By themselves, they will do nothing. The absolute best thing you can do, is do some reading in the training forum, and in the diet/exercise forum, and figure out your caloric needs, as well as developing a solid basic training routine. If you find Built in the diet nutrition section, she always has some links in her sig. One is called "getting started". I highly, HIGHLY recommend reading that before doing anything else. Actually, fuck recommending it, I insist on it. If you are serious about this, and are truly wanting help, you have to start by helping yourself through education.

All that said, there are a few supplements that will help just about anyone. In order of importance:

1. Multivitamin
2. Fish Oil
3. Whey Protein
4. Creatine

Those 4 (at least the first 3) should be a staple in any athletes life in my opinion, and creatine never hurt anyone.

Good luck and I hope to see you work through this. I was a fatty most of my middle school years, and for the first year of high school, then I hit the weights and my whole life changed.

ok and ty, i know what you use supps for and im already working on my diet and training i was just curious about supps since a friend of mine uses alot of them and he gets great results. The biggest one im wondering is their anything (other then caffeine) that really helps with energy or stamina, thats the biggest one im wondering about

Jmorrison covered it very nicely. This is all you need. Good to see you over here, and I hope to see you in the training forum.

Buy all of the really expensive ones. The more money you spend the better.

Not.

For a vegetarian Amino Acids may help too?

My can't do without list includes:

Whey or Blended protein powder
Multivitamin (I have become partial to Twinlab's version... two pills in the morning, two before bed)
A GOOD fish-oil (this is one supplement where buying Costco or Walmart brand just doesnt cut it)
Creatine (I have no problem with regular old monohydrate, but your mileage may vary)
Beta-Alanine

If you have a little extra money, I also use Magnesium, Curcumin and I supplement with Vitamin D (for whatever reason my dad's side of the family has a history of deficiency)

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
And for the record, I used IM's Anabolic Matrix years ago and can def vouch for its potent ingredients.... one child later.

:P

He pretty much nailed it. But I would also added in BCAA for dieting. This can be a critical supplement as well. However, when choosing what brand/company to use, make sure they provide the best quality. All I use is NeedToBuildMuscle and I can def. tell a difference between them and other supps.
