Look at a car as an investment ... the vette will hold it's value better.

That is true. The Marauder was Fords answer to Chevy's Impala and since the Impala was switched to FWD, it seemed like a slam dunk. That wouldve been a car that kept its value also. For some reason, it didnt get the sales the 94-96 Impalas did. :hmmm:

No sir, I just don't share this retarded obsession with cars. I would not have a car if I lived walking distance to school and work.

The car I listed is a hybrid Honda that gets 60 mpg in the city and 66 on the highway, plus you get the craftsmanship and dependability that comes with owning a Honda. I will be laughing all the way to the bank.
So enjoy your fuel drinking POS that last 100,000 miles if you are lucky. :thumb:

Either way it goes in the end you still spend money. You can say the same thing for houses, clothes, jewelry, food, etc.

I must say that I am biased in this thread. I am a car enthusiast, but a sports/muscle car enthusiast. I know the 3 GMs can be built to be pretty fast cars while still being street driven, for not that much money compared to its competition. In fact, theyre still faster than most of the new cars.

However, I am talkng about speed, but thats what I think the thread starter is interested in buying. You want to talk about whats got the best crash rating, most leg room, best gas mileage, etc, then you can bash domestic all you want, for I know little about comparing that shit.

I like sticking up to my country's cars (if they are actually built here), but if you tell me your past saturn was a piece of shit compared to your new toyota, I am not going to dis-believe you.

Oh and I brought a 99 corvette for 21.8K. It had 24Kmiles on it. Black with grew interior

I like cars depending on how they look. That shit Kelu posted looked like a vagina. It might feel good, but it dont look good

Good. Cuz pissing and moaning comes from peeps that have "low self esteem and desperately want attention." See, I can generalize too.

Ill bet cuz I have a fast car, I have a small penis too, right?

The thread starter likes his choices. You like NONE of them. Cuz they are "POS," which is an opinion based answer.

As far as my car being a POS, since its a 99 Trans Am, the car has 107k miles on it, still runs 12s, and still gets some decent gas mileage. Another thing about my car's engine, the LS1, is that its a very clean engine as far as exhaust goes. I forget what my LT trims are, but I can get the number for ya to prove my claim.

I would have to say Kel, that your generalizations are assumptions built upon the great USA making shitty cars about a decade ago. Since then, USA has been closing the gap between their problematic equipment and sales. They are still in shitty shape because of their reputation. Shit, I remember DOMS and I talkign about this in another thread about how USA fucked us in the 80s and have since learned their lesson now that they are terriblely behind. Toyota is just about to surpass GM as the worlds car industry leader.

That country side you mentioned is AMERICA. America's cars are better than they once were. Its sad that we are playing catch up, but assuming that domestic cars are POSs is becoming a forgetful dream.

Back to the thread, all those choices have V8s, so I assume the thread starter wants some power. And guess what, those cars are faster, make more power, all while getting better gas mileage, maintaining reliability, and having quieter and cleaner exhaust than their predessesors. Gotta give credit where its due.

I don't want to get into an argument with you about car quality, because I have already overstepped my boundaries. Just forget what I said. I was being a prick. Please accept my apology.:D

My car is a Mazda and was built in Texas.

THAT is another reality some people that are domestic biased wont accept. It does boil down to the final dollar though.

DateLine did a special on domestic vs. imports not to long ago. I cant believe the american auto industry treated their workers that way..

glass-autos are great for dragging. Prolly beat most people right out of the hole. Sometimes I wish I had an auto, but my manual does have more fun days than boring.

If I got an 05 GTO, I wouldnt care if it was an auto cuz of the car itself. And before anyone says it, yes I know the new GTOs are pretty fucking plain looking.

You mean paying them 25-30 dollars an hour to do the same thing a thousand times a day?

That's Dr. Kiki to you!

No, when they were deliberatley doing a shitty job at making cars. A worker would want to know why they were using plastic instead of metal, for example, and they were told to "not hink, but do." This was in the 80s...which is why ALMOST every car in the 80s from USA was pure junk.

Corvette. I don't know much aboout the cars...just like the way the corvette looks...:)

I would like to have a 1992 chevette. Low profile baby.

CHEVETTE! The first car I bought was chevette! Way back in the mid 80's! :loser: That was one ugly car!

You don't think vagina's look good?

The car obsession is starting to make more sense now.

A hairy vagina does not look good. That doesnt mean I dont like it or anything. I just dont plan on French kissing one
