I've been looking for a simple, straight-forward answer to my question for some time now and have yet to find it, so I figured I'd just ask here.
I recently (February) started working out, etc. I started at 6'4, 240-lbs with a body fat % of about 27. I am currently about 210-lbs with a body fat % of about 18. I've been considering changing my diet (I currently keep a 500 - 1000 calorie deficit) to one that promotes gain instead of loss. Would this be in my best interest, or would it be better (easier?) in the long run to continue to lower my body fat before working on muscle gain?
Any insight would be appreciated.
