ive used hit for certain body parts and it works very well if done correctly, its not about temporary muscular failure its about total muscular exhaustion.
I am not a traditional HIT lifter or a pure Mentzerarian, but I am a firm believer in lower volume and higher intensity for the most part. There are times when higher volume is necessary, as our bodies are extremely adaptable, and occasionally need to be shocked. However, for the most part, productive workouts are shorter and harder.
