Who really smokes weed?

I do, whenever I feel like it, typically a couple times a month to a couple times a week. Alcohol, when consumed at levels normal to me, leaves too much of a hangover. Although, I didn't smoke pot when I was younger. The first time I smoked I was around 24, second time around 27. I like taking the pot and enjoying a fine microbrew or 2 while listening to some music.

It's to the point where I don't drink if I have a planned workout the next day because I can't physically do it. I know what you mean.

Yeah, training sobered me up for the rest of my life I think. I wouldn't even drink during new years.

It gets really annoying having to answer the same question about 20 times in one night. "You don't drink? Why?"

I'm one of the handful of people in my school of 2000+ kids that smokes weed. Everyone in my school thinks smoking weed is the worst possible thing you can do with your life, yet they go out every weekend and drink. I have actually gained enemies from smoking weed. I don't get it. I drank twice and I hated it both times. I think getting high is a lot better then getting drunk. It makes a boring night tons of fun. I don't get sick, and I feel fine the next day. It also makes me a more social and outgoing person, which I enjoy because I am a very shy person. I tell this to people at school and it doesn't change their minds.

As for the original topic of the thread. I enjoy smoking, it was on and off bouts seperated by several months at a time when I first started. Over last summer it was up to a few times a week, stopped when school started, then started again near the end of the semester. Now it has been a solid month methinks since the last time. I don't plan on doing it any time soon but I may in the future.

You'd be surprised how many 'older' and 'respectable' figureheads and folks in society use coke. (I've done it a few times - but I'm not respectable, or a figurehead - more like a fuckhead when the chips are down...).

It's almost an after dinner apertif, in dinner parties and other such social events, more confined to the middle class, i.e the sort that would hold dinner parties in the first place....

But yeah, availability is high and contrary to belief, it s not that addictive. as it with constant use it would hook you, but occasional users would not have any problem.

I'm not advocating use, and tend to avoid it myself, but it's not as bad as made out, or is the stigma attached to it.
