I have never, but i have heard mixed things.....

1 .. you make good strength gains and gain decent size, but you lose most if not all when you stop taking it

2 ... (1) occurs but once you take it 5 or 6 times you dont lose your stregth

i was wondering if either of thesea re really true and what kind of expirience anyone else has had.

i just stopped taking creatine about 5 days ago and i'll post again for any strength loses next time i lift but it seems like last time i stopped, i did lose a little bit of the strength but it's not like you lose as much as you do when you stop taking steroids.

is this the firts time you've taken it?

This must be what they were talking about. My uncle Stanley ate Aspercream everyday for about 3 weeks and he got really sick. His doctor told him to stop immediately and never do it again. Maybe it was creatine he heard about instead. My uncle said the Aspercream did make him feel stronger and he lost about 20 pounds. Before he couldn't do it, but now he gets a perfect score on Whack-A-Mole everytime. His doctor said it was eating a hole in his stomach and that he would eventually die. Thanks. I'll tell him about the creatine.

i just finished my second cycle. i worked out today and i was noticably weaker.

You will usually lose a few pounds of waterweight if you choose to cycle off creatine, but why are you cycling off? I beleive gopro cycles but I'm not sure, he'd probably be the person to ask. The strength loss might all be in your head though.

i dont think its in your head.. i know alot of kids with the same thing... some people get massive headaches when they take it0- some kids vomit... and my sister took a few nutrition classes at JHU and they touched on and its bad for your liver and your kidneys but no one really know the long long term effects.. how bad they are at least

Sure, creatine causes intra-muscular water retention, so when you stop using it you typically lose a few pounds. Same with strength, once you lose the saturation of extra creatine, it is no longer available for ATP.

Solution, continue using it. :)

Prince, are you saying that i shouldn't cycle it?

Just because some nutrition teacher thinks it's bad doesn't mean it is. The most recent studies show that unless you have some kind of kidney or liver problem already, you should be fine taking the recomended dosages with water. It's people that do stupid shit to abuse a supplement that usually give it a bad name. Have you yourself taken creatine? Just because your sister took a few nutrition classes doesn't give you the authority to say that creatine is definetly bad for your liver or kidneys. You also imply at the end of your post that there are definetly long term effects, no one knows if there are or not.

I've taken it many times and every time I retain alot of water. By the 3 week on I can't wait to stop cuz I feel so bloated and puffy. I get decent strength increases supping with it though. I will combine it with my fav pro for better results while bulking. I never use it while cutting.

It depends on where you get it and from which company. If you buy it from a crap company and its cheap it wont do much but bloat you and make you sick. The teach stuff is a lot of crap, if creatine was that bad it would have been banned years ago. Creatine was discovered in 1923 so I disagree with your idea about not knowing the long term effects. I think the best creatine is sold ba www.lamuscle.com. Im a big fan of theirs but dont take my word for it ask around.

well im not trying to be an ass... thats just what i heard - very bad for you.. but thats true no one knows the long term effects so its all just opinions... but just becuase its not banned doesnt mean its not bad for you .. cigarettes will kill you .. alcohol will kill you .. i was just wondering how everyone felt about creatine and it seems everyone likes the results --

i took it once .. got good strength gains.. got off it and lost them all i so i dont wanna do it again and have the same results

Yeah, That's what I heard too. What happens is the media spreads a rumor around, and they often call creatine a steroid due to there excess stupidity, and then everyone just assumes its true. Then I looked at the actual studies. I think there was one study out of I dont know maybe a hundred that said that there was kidney and liver stress. But this usually comes only when you take more than your muscles can absorb hence putting excess stress on your liver or kidneys to metabolize the extra creatine. Obviously creatine is gonna be bad if you take 100 grams a day, you would probably die. Aspirin is a good thing but not if you swallow the whole bottle. My point is everyone has an opinion on it and everyone will try to sway you there way. But I am very cautious what I put in my body and after reading reports on creatine from many different sources, I discovered that the studies suggest it's safe.

there is no reason to "cycle" creatine.
I agree with Prince. I think people just like to say they're "doing a cycle" cause it sounds cool like you're on "the juice" lol. But seriously I wouldn't cycle creatine because you would just lose some of your size/strength and there's no reason right now to do that.

alright, i just heard that if you don't cycle it, your body will become dependent on the supplement instead of producing it's own.

i'm not going to cycle anymore though.
