The brits walk a lot but I don't think americans can do that with their obesity rates.

I know canada our gas is high because we tax the shit out of it for things we need. I'm ok with paying 120$ a tank in my silverado. Its only the 98liter tank. Couldn't imagine fueling up the big 160liter beasts. I could kill to still have gas at 75cents. I remember in. 2000 or2001 gas in ottawa was 38 cents a liter. Places in canada sometimes have been over 1.40$ a liter. Such a jump in a single decade.

We bitch about the gas prices because when commodity trading was deregulated every asshole and his brother could suddenly trade in oil futures which drove the price through the roof. There is an oil surplus and demand has been either holding steady or dropping for the last few years. The gas station near me went up 22 cents over night. Then the last couple days it's been going up and down as much as 10 cents several times a day.

Also your gas prices are high because your government taxes the hell out of it.

i ever understood this either. when i lived in germany i added it up and it was about 7.50 a gallon of gas on the economy, everytime i pump gas at 4 dollars a gallon i admit it sucks but then i think to myself it would be worse, instead of 50 bucks to fill up my 2 door honda it could be 110

We use very little Iranian oil,but the price has gone up anyway,but thats
down to those wankers on the stock market,its £140 at the pump
now,it was like .70 a few years ago,,price of oil is a massive problem
for the world economy,and a big driver in this world recession.
Governments make shitloads in extra tax,so they dont give a fvck,
