Just wondering what everyones personal reasons for using are.

To get big and strong

Part of my gender reassignment.

Generally, I enjoy the experience. It's exciting. At times, I feel great. Rapid gains are nice.

To look better, be stronger, get more pussy and be more able to defend myself if i got in a fight.

Anybody use them for compatition?

To get bigger, stronger, and faster. Period!

I've achieved all due to steroid use.

Madmartingan, you'll be sorely disappointed if you think bigger means "badder" in a fight...

I use them to achieve the look that I always wanted, and was never able to get naturally.

Being just how I want to be, I've noticed has increased expenentially my self-confidence, and this effect has spread into all areas of my life, both personal and professional.

:(

I just want my body to be able to keep up with the kind
of training I put it through!

Nobody is scared to death of you. You just think they are! This makes you look like a jackass.

Strickly for the side effects.
same, i do it for the gyno

Zorro, I disagree with you there son... If I could have a fight with myself pre or post steroids, I would pick the pre steroid me. Surely a stronger, bigger, and heavier and more confident (as you claim you are) opponent would be "badder"? and a harder adversary.

If you think Im just some twat who likes fighting, you have got me wrong...
I don't like fighting.
what I actually said was it makes me more able to DEFEND myself, which is true if you think about it logically.
I have been in a number of drunken fights both pre and post weight training (never started any of them) , and I do much better now I have some bulk on me.

And If you argue with this I will kick your ass mofo! te he!:)

This says a lot! I've been around the block and I haven't been in a fight in 10 years. There are ways to avoid these situations and for what ever reason you're not.

steroids will not make you a better fighter, you are a moron to even think that

perhaps there are less fights in the gay bars you frequent! te he only joking buddy.

I do try and avoid them, as i said i hate fighting.
I used to go out with a girl from Thailand and so many blokes used to take the piss and say "love you long time" etc. etc... and ask her how much for sucky sucky. I had a fight with two blokes simultaniously once over this and beat them both. Was I supposed to just let them disrespect (that whore)?

Other times its been people starting on my friends and I have had to jump in. Perhaps its different in the states? We could drink you boys under the table over here in the UK... unfortunately there is more agro as a result.

Im also better at beating up criples and children these days when im in a fit of roid rage. LOL (thats a joke)

So kika, you are saying in hypothetical fight between two clones of me, one having put on 20 ibs of muscle and being able to bench 100k more than the non-steroid clone, It would be a draw?
With respect, you are speaking bollocks mate! The "roid" clone would be harder!
He could punch harder, wrestle the weaker clone easier and the weaker clone would be more scared of the bigger clone and perhaps run away, avoiding the clone fight completely. I would put money on the bigger clone being a better fighter.
I know the old "its not the size of the dog in the fight its the size of the fight in the dog" addage does have some truth, but both dogs would be harder if they did steroids.

Im not being a dick here, It just makes sense to me.
I dont do steroids for fighting!!!!!! But they help

My point was the scene in which you travel will dictate the actions required. I chose not to travel in those scenes anymore. Been there done that, so to speak.

No disrespect, but as you get older you'll understand.

I don't want to get old! I want to die young like a warrior having my juggular slashed by a broken pint glass! With my juice filled blood covering the streets. :offtopic:

I have never started a fight in my life! My point "which im sticking by" was that it makes me better able to defend myself.
If muscle doesn't make you harder then why do pro-wrestlers do steroids?;)

Is there a translation problem here between UK English and US English?

When I say DEFEND myself are you guys reading "makes me better able to ATTACK some poor bloke?"

Are you also going to have a go at me as I do judo for "Self Defence"?

Why is everyone getting on my back? Its not my primary reason for doing weights, its just a benefit from doing weights.

Adrenaline: If you are also refering to "getting more pussy" as a bad reason to train... surely thats the prime motivator for any of "mans" actions.

Kicka: Calling someone a 'Moron' after making an incorrect inference to their statement, makes you the moron. No need to be so unpleasant pal.

Largepkg: I hear what you are saying my friend... but I enjoy the nightlife scene, being a young buck in the prime of life and wont be leaving it anytime soon. Unfortunately in the UK we are the biggest binge drinkers in the world... and drunken fights happen occasionally.

Ever see those old Charles Atlas adverts? with the puny guy having sand kicked in his face? Those adverts were very succesful showing that loads of people began weight training primarily for the reason of becoming more able to handle themselves in confrontations.

MM, I completely understand what you're saying. Here's my issue and I'm not addressing you directly. I don't like the "I can kick your ass mentality". You have so many men these days who believe thats a sign of strength and end up getting into the AAS scene to increase their infinitely small perception of themselves.

Partner, when I was young I loved going out and getting hammered with friends. It's almost a right of passage. Have fun but be careful. You never know what awaits around the corner. What seems to be a simple fight can turn into much more. I hope you never have to deal with one of these situations but if you do your perception will change dramatically.

Enough of the preaching on my part! :offtopic:

hmm, but they will make you stronger, faster, more aggressive, reduce fatigue etc etc, i guess you could call me a moron, plenty of fighters take steroids, i'm sure its nothing to do with making them a better fighter though is it? some coincidence huh!

this is the reason why I am contemplating using them. But I am very nervous because of the health ramifications and the way my family will percieve me.

I want to use, but dont want extravagant or insane looking gains that people will look at me and said he just did a cycle. I know this sound naive, but that sthe way I feel. Any others with this problem?

If you use "mild" steroids i,e primobolan, deca, anavar etc. you are not going to get freaky huge on one cycle. These milder substances might also limit the probability of the side effects and health problems you worry about. Best advice would be to do a load of research on the topic and get clued up on dosages, types of steroids and if not already in order, diet and training.
Dont worry about family reactions... they see you so often that over the course of say 8 weeks they are not even going to notice you putting on a pound or so a week.
You might not even need steroids to achieve the look you want.
All the best mate.

P.S if your family pipe up after you do steroids you can use your new strength and power to beat the shit out of them!:yell: LOL
