Its music... Its murder... Are any of you aware of the past YEAR in Detroit's hip hop scene???

Wipeout of the Chedda Boyz was murdered... Blade Icewood was shot 7 times but survived paralyzed from the waist down... then about a month later Blade was shot a second time and killed.... Obie Trice was shot in the head but survived.... Now proof... Rest in peace to all the fallen soldiers

Detroit is ruthless...

Bawitaba ta bang a dang diggy diggy?

Nope you just sound proud of your cities ability to rehash a problem that took out Biggie and Tupac and countless other talented cats over what seems like ex-con mentalities during the 90's. Even after most other rappers in other cities have preached about getting along for the one cause of Hip Hop plus you call them "soldiers" like they have some kind of war going on when you should be calling them "pawns" in a game of Record Exec Chess.

The so called "hip hop lifestyle" is killing our youth.

Too general of a statement.

Yep. Proof has done alot for the Detroit charity scene. He's gonna be missed. He's not a soldier in any sense of the word, so let's avoid that label.

4th25 (pronounced fourth quarter) came out w/ an amazing lp that had a song about calling artists soldiers. 4th25 consists of 5 marines who made their album, "live in Iraq" while serving active duty in Iraq. They used a 100 dollar mic, plywood, and recycled beats. They put a song out tearing apart TI, Lil Wayne and Destiny's child for the song "soldier".

You hafta earn the word soldier.

I love the "COUNTER-CULTURE" here in Detroit so much...

I decided to move

Agree 100% I lived there when I was younger, and hated it the whole time!

These people's deaths are a product of the life they led and the culture they promote.

He's a musician. Does Jay-z deserve to die because he promotes the hip-hop culture??
I don't believe that is what clemson was talking about. I agree with him 100%. Rapper Proof carried a gun into a nightclub and was the first to shoot at someone. If you live the kind of lifestyle where you feel the need to carry around a firearm, especially into a nightclub where you should be going to have fun, then chances are you are not living a very safe lifestyle and are probably not the best role-model for anyone to follow.

How are any of these rapper deaths equal or more sad than other deaths? Why should they receive more news coverage?

I agree with you. Maybe I took what he said wrong. My B

These murderers aren't very effective. There are still way too many rappers in the world. I wish they would step it up a notch.

I wish they would take the highlander attitude... there can be only one! (and then someone else should pop the last one)

Yet another one who can say such things in the comfort of his own home hidden behind a computer screen....gotta Love it hahaha :clapping:

If you feel so strongly about it, why don't you go to the inner sections of AZ or CA and express yourself to some of the local rappers?

Because I am not a thug and I value my life... unlike these rappers that feel it is necessary to bring guns into nightclubs and start shooting at people.

Doesn't mean every rapper lives that way. You said there's too many rappers and they should all step it up and kill each other.

That may have been a little harsh... but that noise they make should be a crime either way.
